As someone who watching BLs. I immediately drop anything that is disgusting and toxic to me. I always stick to the greener side especially now. I don't get ppl who see BLs as anything more than a genre. I'm a writer and i'm constantly talking about flaws in Thai BLs and trust me there is so many yet ppl refuse to see them just bc of that silly tag. Some of these shows are so unbearably stupid, unprofessional and so badly written I don't get how they get the funds to make them and so wouldn't fly in Hollywood. Just the other day I had to rant about the Thai Industry and how weird it is. The Thai BL Industry doesn't really have any actors, just ppl who play the same character over and over and they call that talent and acting🙄 It's too unprofessional and I wish it was more about talent.
Even with BL manhwas its just all rap* and ppl eat it up like its completely normal. It seems to be this theme from who knows where it started from. It's like romance and BL ARENT the same, but it is just that its 2 guys so why is it treated so differently? You can't even just enjoy the tag anymore bc its filled with weirdos who refuse to see its all acting. And I always get stuck between it and look like i'm apart of them. imo u can not support something without being homophobic. I'm not gonna go out of my way to attended LGBT events (support) but im also not gonna go out of my way to hate and bash on ppl bc of something they can control. I have a christian friend and when i asked her this. she said the same thing. She doesnt support it bc of her religion but she would never drop someone or hate on someone if they came out.
