KT has been annoying me to no end, he’s a walking red flag, at least in my eyes. And YJ was so incredibly cool!! Respect! I wouldn’t have been able to confront him so well.
Wow! You got Jang Hye Jin right!! And she does fit the role perfectly.
I'm only 2 episodes in, but I think I would have preferred your choice of main leads... Either them or, if I were to think of a younger generation... maybe Kim Yoo Jung as Chen Yun Ru / Huang Yu Xuan, Lee Jae Wook as Li Zi Wei / Wang Quan Sheng and Kim Kang Min as Mo Jun Jie. Bliss.
There are so many possible results! So far I’ve counted more than 10. Smart Little Antelope, Resolute Wolf King, Naive Arctic Rabbit, Emotional Little Fish, Happy White Swan, Frank Little Leopard, Romantic Sika Deer, Healing Samoyed, Bubbly Big Penguin… There’s also a crane, a panda, a koala, and now a parrot…Wow!
Hushin does it right. JY kept talking about MG on all their dates, he understood what it means and he is not trying…
I think that MG and JY do have strong feelings for each other, and I agree he’s also attracted to YS and chose the less stressful option to go on a date with her. I did think his comment about regretting if he didn’t choose her when they were in a faraway place and made memories with someone else was significant though! So MG and JY date on Thursday will make it obvious whether it’s GM+JY or GM+YS…
My predictions for final couples, the way things are right now:
Ju Mi — alone Ji Won — alone Gyeo Re — alone Ji Young— alone Yi Soo + Min Gyu Hu Shin + Ji Min
But even though I really like Yi Soo, I think MG’s heart is with JY, so I’m hoping they all follow their true feelings.
That way, the ending would be MG+JY HS+JM And everyone else alone.
Ji Won is so wrong for JY, and he doesn’t even notice it. He’s 100% rational and she’s 100% feeling, he’s so blunt and I completely understand her not wanting to spend time with him. Not a good match at all. I’m not saying he’s bad, just bad for someone like JY. He doesn’t understand her feelings at all. Gyeo Re and Min Gyu are both just right for her, it’s just a matter of their feelings being romantic or friend oriented. Hu Shin is kind and honest and awesome, but I think he’d be happier with someone like Ji Min.
Ju Mi needed a 5th male resident. A mix of GR and JW. Someone that would take the lead, someone passionate and kind, smart and dedicated to her. Her generosity wouldn’t go to waste.
I did the personality test, just for fun, and got a baby panda (I think). I don’t understand mandarin, so it was all Google translated. I don’t remember any of them getting a panda. I’m supposedly most compatible with the swan, the whale and the leopard.
Extremely disappointed, for sure. Our heart broke along with Makoto’s, but that’s not even the worst thing. It didn’t feel natural. The way things were going I thought no one would get together in the end. It would be sad but I could understand that. Now, a divorced woman who has already been through all the pain, going back together with someone who’s an immature selfish human who needs her for cooking, cleaning and generally keeping him alive… I just can’t see it. She’ll just be miserable and childless forever. Nothing changed. Urghhhhhhhhhhh!!!! I really hope Makoto finds someone that deserves all he has to give. I’m choosing to imagine he will. My own episode 12.
True. No one can beats exchange 2 in terms of story telling, it's natural flow and emotional attachment. The editing…
Thank you ^^ I'm definitely planning to watch all of those, now. I've just completed "Love Alarm Clap Clap Clap". It's a bit silly compared to EXchange and Heart Signal, but there were a lot of emotional turmoils and surprises along the way. I became attached to some of the cast, for sure, so still worth watching, imo.
I think for the most part, people often forget that Heart Signal is one of the original and vanilla dating shows…
Thanks, I was wondering where everyone saw the content of their messages. ^^ I love Heart Signal, btw <3 I watched all 3 seasons, and "Friends" as well. And Seasons 1, 2 and 5 of the chinese version :D
Edit: Wow, this ended up being a long post :O It's just that I finished watching the first 4 episodes of this show, and these thoughts crossed my mind. Don't feel bad to scroll past it xD

I think it's so interesting how on every single dating show I've watched, I never really like anyone on the first episode. They are always trying to behave in what they deem to be proper manner, are overdressed and self-conscious. They are never themselves. So some come off as aloof, or arrogant, or shallow, or can be a walking red flag in your eyes.
But, if you don't give up on them, and stay for the next eps, you can gradually see them lower their guard, show their true colours little by little. You get to witness their smiles and sparkling eyes and their pain and tears. Maybe you'll learn about their dreams and maybe you'll even start rooting for a specific person that moved your heart or maybe you saw yourself in them or started to fall for them a little...
One thing that dating shows like this one and Heart Signal have shown to me is that you really can't discard someone as your love interest based on first impressions. If all these seasons have proven something, it's that, by the end of the one month living together, no one (that I can remember) chose the one that had the best first impression! :D
I've never liked reality shows, in my 30+++ years of life xD But I really love asian dating shows, they have a lot of substance, and can be immensely entertaining, addictive and moving.
Even though the eps are 100+ min long, they feel short. It feels like a lot is left out and they only show us what they want. I would love to see a more natural flow of things. EXchange 2 was a dating show masterpiece in that sense, at least that’s how it felt to me. I could understand their emotional changes, and got heartbroken/exhilarated along with them. I’m still obsessed with this, ofc 🤣 I just wish the eps were longer… And everyone’s quite likeable, but my favourite is Min Gyu. I don’t really ship him with anyone (or maybe I do -- with me! haha). I just want to shield him from harm 🥹 Min Gyu fighting!
