*I am thrown off by the comments (mostly saying it's droppable and the rating *8.6 as of this post". I watched through to Episode 4 and thought that the ML was giving great micro-expressions (I may have blushed at the eye smiling) and that the FL was clueless and frustrating (which means that I was invested). The side characters are amusing. I feel like it's a webtoon brought to life and it may be as good as True Beauty by the time it finishes airing if it keeps going like this.
*But everyone has their own likes and dislikes and I value every comment.
It's 9.8 currently. That's the highest rating possible on Viki when you pass a few hundred votes. It'll go down…
*blushes* When I first started watching it, it was 8.8. As I kept watching, I kept thinking, this should be rated higher. Thanks! I should have looked before I commented.
I am watching this on Viki and I wish it was rated higher on that platform. I am loving this show. I started watching it again from the beginning so I can watch all the way through to the end episodes (which have not aired yet).
As we near the end of the year (non-lunar) here, I was thinking about my Plan To Watch list. I put the whole list into a spreadsheet and used a random number generator to pick a show. I am now watching #23 on the list. lol I plan to watch that whole show and then randomly pick another number and watch (in addition to watching my current shows). I applaud you greatly, OP. You rock!
This article came just in time. I have been stalled on the third episode of Love and Redemption for weeks now. I just didn't know if I should keep watching. I will put it back into my rotation and see it through because I loved Ashes of Love (seen it twice now) and the comparisons really helped!
This article was just what I needed. I finished episode two today and wondered if I should continue on. Your bullet points addressed MY issues. Thank you! I will continue watching this drama.
Can you elaborate on your last two paragraphs? I didn't read up on the facts before or after. And only know that…
I felt like the title including the word "Secrets" is an indicator of how well written this particular story is. This story is not necessarily a history of the 3 Kingdoms but a "what if this had happened" telling of the period. By implying that this is the secret story, the writers were saying, yes, it's fiction based on these core facts. And that made me comfortable with any ending.
I have been stalling watching Ep 5 and I wondered why. Your review put my feelings right there on the page! I loved The King's Woman (And, so far, almost everything I have watched from this particular group) but I just can't go on with this one.
I am on episode 50 and I don't want this to end! I picked this up after my obssessive period with Nirvana In Fire and I am so glad I did. The actors are believable in their roles and the story is compelling.
When friendships started breaking, I knew I had to find out if this was a fictionalized true story or complete fiction.
I was not familiar with the Three Kingdoms period. I am glad I read up on the facts before watching the ending because I feel comfortable with any ending now. This show was well written.
