Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... Even if the kid is related to Junxi, why would someone just drop a child off at someone's apartment unattended? Also, who else would've known that Junxi and Tuo moved in together? Initially, I was a bit worried about how this series could possibly be stretched out for 12 episodes, but honestly, I'm interested in how Junxi and Tuo's story will progress.
See guys? No cheating! Tuo, I never doubted you π₯°. That kind of behavior would be totally out of character…
Tuo stated that Junxi was the only child his parents had at home since his brother left for college/work. There wasn't much emphasis on it, but technically, it was stated that Junxi had an older sibling.
BOC did him dirty? TF? Barcode is famous because of that company and the amazing roles heβs gotten and Iβm…
Yes, they did (I didn't stutter). Clearly you don't recall the terrible writing for "Dead Friend Forever." Ta, Barcode, and Mio were the only good actors in that series and carried that series from start to finish. Barcode's role in "KinnPorshe" (which btw is an insanely overrated BL for people who like watching romanticized r*pe scenes and characters with Stockholm Syndrome) was essentially overshadowed by the two other "couples" in the series. There's a reason why he and Ta are no longer managed by Be On Cloud.
I'm kinda here for Barcode as a villain. Be On Cloud did him so dirty, and I'm glad he was able to break away from that terrible company.; especially since he can ACTUALLY act. Since this is a GMMTV series, I expect the comedic/campy moments, and surprisingly, it's nothing too jarring as of yet, but since this is Barcode's GMMTV debut so to speak, I'm hoping that GMMTV doesn't screw this series up. Since this series only has 10 episodes as opposed to their typical 12-episode quota, it gives me a glimmer of hope that this series will be relatively solid (hopefully).
So, do the pheromones obscure the vision and the hearing? How is it that Shao You didn't realize that Hua Yong was the one who attacked him when he was looking dead at his face AND Hua Yong didn't really disguise his voice? Even if people want to reach and say that the room was pitch-black in the novel, but the series brightened the room so the viewers could see everything that was happening, Hua Yong still didn't disguise his voice OR his scent. Being around him for so long, Shao You should've at least been able to notice Hua Yong's voice and/or scent. The same question(s) can be applied to Shen Wen Lang as well. How is it that he didn't remember sleeping with Gao Tu when he stopped him from leaving the room prior to them sleeping together? Also, why was Hua Yong's door left open for the attempted kidnappers to be able to enter if Hua Yong was placed in that specific room because of his rut? Isn't the point of placing him in a specialized room to isolate him during his rut so he doesn't harm anyone? There was A LOT in this episode that didn't make an iota of sense even for an Omegaverse BL (before the Omegaverse defenders jump in the replies, I said what I said). I do find it a bit strange that some people will do mental/verbal gymnastics to excuse the way some series romanticize r*pe and/or s*xual assault (because that IS what happened to Shao You in this episode since he didn't consent) when I didn't see nearly as many people excusing Way using his powers to paralyze and nearly r*pe Babe in Season 1 of "Pit Babe" despite that also being an "Omegaverse" BL.
*SIDE NOTE*
I'm just convinced that Shen Wen Lang is a moron. Gao Tu's doctor literally outed him as an Omega, yet for whatever reason, he still believes that Gao Tu is a Beta with a sage scented Omega partner despite the fact that he KNOWS that Gao Tu lives alone (meaning withOUT a partner). Common sense should've kicked in by now that Gao Tu is an Omega cosplaying as a Beta; especially since he ALWAYS smells like an Omega AND he's extremely sensitive to S-Tier Alpha pheromones (which to my understanding, TRUE Betas are impervious to Alpha pheromones).
I don't think they're going to top "Trapped In Osaka," but this wasn't entirely unwatchable unlike some BLs that have come out in 2025. Had the last episode been written better (without spoiling anything in case some people haven't watched it yet), it wouldn't have gotten the criticism that it's been getting despite the fact that it's a short series.
I'm not gonna hold you, I really thought this series was going to give "My Golden Blood" vibes (which isn't necessarily a good thing because in my opinion, "My Golden Blood" was NOT it), but not only does this seem more interesting based on the first two episodes, but unlike "My Golden Blood," there's a second couple that seems like they can pique my interest in the event that the main couple's story begins to fall a bit flat throughout the series. Overall, this series is starting off okay.
This has to be said. I know he was desperate to help his grandmother get better treatment for her cancer, but Lin Yan Rui is a moron for doing work for someone without AT LEAST a 50% deposit of the payment. A real businessman/woman knows not to start work until a deposit has been made; so I don't feel bad that he got scammed by Wang Zhen Long because as a person who worked as an accountant, he should've made sure he got his money first no matter how "desperate" he was supposed to be. Suo Wei is better than me, because there's no way I'd let a guy who framed my boyfriend of tax evasion shake me down for 5 million yuan; especially when I'm offering him help with his ailing grandmother. Honestly, Lin Yan Rui is lucky that Suo Wei even entertained the thought of paying him anything. If it were me, I would've just rescinded my offer to help his grandmother, copied the evidence from his phone, and turned him and Wang Zhen Long in to the police. Since he initially lied about working for Wang Zhen Long, Lin Yan Rui's word in regard to testifying against Wang Zhen Long in exchange for money means nothing. In regard to the scene where Suo Wei is finally allowed to visit Chi Cheng, I honestly believe that Chi Cheng left because he didn't want Suo Wei to see him cry. His tears felt like they were triggered by the idea that he blames himself for Suo Wei "losing" everything. I hope that the final episode is around an hour long just to give the series enough time to tie up any possible loose ends in a timely manner. This series has been virtually flawless thus far (especially for a CHINESE BL), so I'm hoping that the final episode doesn't feel rushed.
How is Memoir or Rati? I've been avoiding it because it's GMMTV and I'm barely lukewarm on the pair too, is it…
I actually enjoy Great and Inn's chemistry (even in "Wandee Goodday" as campy as it was, but to me, their chemistry is more enjoyable in this series). What interests me the most about "Memoir of Rati" is that it has me wondering how GMMTV is going to give this series the typical "happy ending" that the average GMMTV series tends to have given the time period that this particular series is supposed to be set in. So far, if I had to explain it in layman's terms, it's almost like a same sex "Romeo & Juliet," but the pacing so far isn't terrible in my opinion. If you're looking for a quality Thai BL, I'd highly recommend "Reset." The story, acting, and pacing of the series is impeccable (assuming you haven't already watched it). In regard to Taiwanese BLs in 2025, "Secret Lover" is better than the vast majority of series that have been released this year (granted the bar for Taiwanese BLs in 2025 isn't particularly high, so do with that what you will), but with the releases of CHINESE BLs like "Revenged Love," "ABO Desire," and "Trapped In Osaka," the most recent Taiwanese BLs simply can't compare.
After reading some of the comments, I'm pretty certain that I'm in the minority of viewers that's actually pleasantly surprised that the last 6 episodes are being released ahead of schedule. Yes, this series is a beautifully crafted masterpiece that will be misses upon conclusion, however, I'm just glad that all 24 episodes are being released without censorship considering the fact that this is a proper CHINESE BL instead of a "bromance" cosplaying as a BL. At the very least, this series won't be going the way of (the original) Addicted in 2016. Also, for me personally, with the exception of "Memoir of Rati" (which has been good so far, but GMMTV has an extensive history of ruining series after the 8th episode, so I'm a bit nervous), Fridays have been a bit empty with the respective conclusions of "Knock Out" and "Pit Babe Season 2," so I'm happy to be able to have another series worth watching today.
Guys, I have some questions because sometimes I don't focus that much when I'm watching because I'm also mobile…
To my understanding, the final episode implies that the "reset" happened because Tada wished for it under the condition that he'd reveal himself to Armin instead of loving him from afar. His wish was seemingly granted in the past life when he died in his bedroom after Armin's death. It could've been explained better in the series, but it's implied that because of the way Tada "reset," (since he wasn't murdered like Armin) he wasn't entirely sure if he had truly "reset" his life the way Armin was despite the fact that he has "dreams" of the day he lost Armin in the past life. Subconsciously, he knew he had to reveal himself to Armin in the "reset," but his recollection of the past life isn't as strong as Armin's most likely due to how they passed away respectively.
Honestly, Suo Wei annoyed me during the breakup scene. There was absolutely no reason to continue to lie to Chi Cheng even AFTER his initial intentions for pursuing Chi Cheng were revealed knowing that he's in love with Chi Cheng; especially since Chi Cheng GAVE him the chance to be truthful about his feeling toward him (Chi Cheng). While Chi Cheng was more than willing to forgive Suo Wei as long as he verbalized his TRUE feelings for Chi Cheng, Chi Cheng isn't entirely innocent in all of this either. Not only did he also lie to Suo Wei when asked if he ever loved him, but he's been keeping the secret of Suo Wei's mother's illness and impending death from him for an extended period of time (albeit at the request of Suo Wei's mother, but still). As beautiful as their moments together have been, their entire relationship is built on a foundation of deception and manipulation on both ends. Chi Cheng conspired with Suo Wei's best friend to manipulate Suo Wei into giving him his virginity (which by the way wouldn't have worked if Suo Wei was genuinely in love with Chi Cheng). Also, finding out that Chi Cheng knew about his mother's illness and impending death and kept it from Suo Wei (again, albeit at the request of the mother) will most likely hurt Suo Wei even more so than his initial thoughts of Chi Cheng being unfaithful. While I understand the mother's reasoning for not disclosing her condition to Suo Wei to a certain extent, I can't help but feel as though it was the wrong decision on her end since it essentially robs Suo Wei of being able to spend time with her in her final days. Based on the preview for episode 19, I have a feeling that the mother's death is going to be used as a plot device for Chi Cheng and Suo Wei's reconciliation somehow, but given the fact that Suo Wei doesn't know that Chi Cheng hid his mother's condition from him, I'm interested in seeing how the writers manage to make it work if they decide to go that route for the reconciliation. It's clear that both Chi Cheng and Suo Wei know that they love each other, but I'm honestly going to need them to start acting like adults and VERBALIZE their feelings for one another in order to clear up any misunderstandings between them.
*SIDE NOTE*
Cheng Yu is STILL my favorite character. I love how he just blindly started helping Chi Cheng jump Wang Zhen (who I didn't realize has the same name as Yue Yue's boyfriend that kept knocking Suo Wei out in the earlier episodes) without even knowing why Chi Cheng started throwing hands and stopped the moment his boyfriend called out to him. He's a true "ride-or-die" friend while at the same time being completely whipped for his boyfriend.
While this series was definitely one of the better Thai BLs in 2025, the ONLY thing preventing me from giving this series a solid 10/10 (I'm still giving it a 10/10, but as of right now, it's more of a 9.8/10 for me because other than this one issue, the series was perfection) is the fact that Tada's "reset" could've been better explained in my opinion as opposed to leaving it open for interpretation. It seems as though Tada was granted his wish of a "reset" by dying in his bedroom after promising to reveal himself to Armin if given the chance. It also felt as though because of the way Tada "reset," he wasn't entirely certain if his life had truly "reset" in a similar fashion to Armin's, but subconsciously he knew he had to reveal himself to Armin in an attempt to not lose him the same way he did in the past life. Also, I feel like it would've been nice to see the dynamic of Armin knowing that Tada had also "reset" his life after Armin's death in the past life. In episode 9, it seemed as if Armin realized that Tada was also from the past life after Tada detailed the "dreams" he'd been having of losing Armin, but it was never explored in depth. In regard to the character of Thiwthit, he played the perfect whiney, manic, immature villain to perfection. Throughout the series, I suspected that Tada may have been the one who poisoned Armin in the past life out of jealousy for being snubbed in Armin's acceptance speech, but to find out that Thiwthit was the one who orchestrated the poisoning of Armin's drink in the past life by using the same prop guy that switched the guns onset was actually rather surprising despite the fact that it probably shouldn't have been. I understand that everything Thiwthit did both in the past life and in the "reset" was out of retaliation for being rejected romantically by Tada (his stepbrother), but one thing that confused me about Thiwthit toward the end of the series is how he somehow had the funds to pay hitmen and henchmen to do his dirty work and live off the grid for months while being chased by debt collectors that were threatening to kill him, AND the Thai authorities were looking for him after attempting to kill Armin by having the prop gun switched. I honestly think that a character like that should've ended up dying as opposed to simply being locked up. That's the kind of character that seems like they'll keep coming back unless they're dead. Overall, I'm just glad that this didn't end in an "Inception" angle where everything that happened throughout the series turned out to be some sort of fever dream brought on by Tada's guilt from Armin's death. Hopefully, Pond and Peterpan get to work together again in the future.
*SIDE NOTE*
Peterpan's face card is LETHAL!!!!!!!!!! I don't know how to explain it, but his face just LOOKS like money.
So, I just saw the preview for episode 18. Although I've been wondering when it was going to happen, now that it's here, I am NOT ready. πππππ
Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... Is Shen Wen Lang stupid, or is he dumb? How is it that he's still completely oblivious to the fact that Guo Tu is really an Omega when his doctor literally outed him as an Omega? Also, wouldn't the fact that S-Teir Alpha pheromones affected Guo Tu so greatly to the point where he had to be hospitalized be a dead giveaway that he isn't the Beta that he's been cosplaying as? To my understanding, Betas are supposed to be unaffected by pheromones regardless of whether they're Alpha or Omega pheromones. I honestly feel bad for Sheng Shao You. He's so deep in love with Hua Yong that he's missing all of the signs of exactly how dangerous Hua Yong truly is. Although I read the synopsis for the series, and I knew going in that Hua Yong would be the dangerous Ghost Orchid Enigma, for some reason it still surprised me to see exactly how cold Hua Yong can really be; especially to his "subordinates." I've seen my number of red flags in BL series before, but Hua Yong is kinda like the final boss. Actually, calling him a "red flag" would actually be insulting to genuine red flags. Despite the extreme gaslighting and manipulation of Shao You's feelings for him, I'm hoping that Hua Yong actually has feelings for Shao You and wasn't just saying it in his head just to say it. Traumatizing someone by having them think the person they love was kidnapped and seemingly gang r*ped when in actuality all of your wounds were self-inflicted is CRAZY work. I'm not sure what Hua Yong's endgame is going to be, but I'm definitely intrigued.
