Why people are blaming the actress? if a scene does not make an impact then blame it on screenplay. I mean, she does cry good, she gets angry good, she could be funny as evident from her other dramas. Take the scene between YX and his general singing, did it make any impact? No.. did they act good? Yes... But i do think the drama is good enough not to be treated this way. Also, people complaining about casting inexperienced actress, every famous actress today was once a rookie. Someone chose to give them a chance. Give this actress a break..

right.. YY truly loves her. people think that YY is bland. The actor is one of those who can convey the emotions with small/micro expressions and i like it.
If I was A'chu I'd pick Yan Xun but I'm not and the heart wants what it wants. Wen Yue is a morally grey person.…
ML and FL always had the connection. Their banters are their love language. She misunderstood him and went to SML for the dream he sold and definitely not because she had romantic interest. Their circumstances put them on the opposite sides but still they liked each other, we can always see from their interactions. And she never showed romantic interest towards SML (She might in the novel which i dont know). If you see the interaction between FL and SML, it is always the SML who is playful with her. Where as FL, in most part, is playful with ML except for the period when she believed that he betrayed SML and used her as death spy.
Coz it's all about selling the dream and beauty. But in POJ they were carried away with makeup, filters, hair...etc…
I get that. PA is my favorite. But shouldn't we question this discrimination against normal people? We can't leave it be because the masses want dream and beauty. We do enjoy supporting characters even if they are normal looking. I don't know if i am grumbling here...
PA is rated 8.2 and you said this drama pales in comparison, but should be rated 8+ …so, it should get a 8-8.1…
Exactly my point. people go gaga over romantic intimacy as if it is the only dimension of a story and acting. Most of the dramas aim at easy emotions or easy triggers of the viewers. PA did great without relying on easy emotions.

For me PA is the best, It is one of the few dramas that i have watched thrice. FYI - Except for love like galaxy and POJ i couldn't get past the 1st few episodes of those dramas. POJ lost me after the story moved from the village. still good though. may be if PA had kissing scenes in every other episodes, it would have been voted 11/10.
let's face it... women will always be the one spending ungodly amounts of money on merch of things they love.…
i think the official's point is that everyone should have the opportunity to play main lead. shouldn't be restricted only to the pretty people. That is why they asked the industry to focus on story instead of looks.
does nobody else find it embarrassing for a 28 year old actor to be playing a high school role? that is a grown…
That is the actor's job. They should be able to pull off any character. It should be a challenge for them. Age shouldn't be a matter for actors and face card as well. As an audience, i should only see if they emote well and convince me of what the character is going through.
Should be a 8+ rating. Definitely not a 7.6 imo. Does it pale in comparison with season1? Yes. But definitely doesn't deserve this harsh treatment. Later episodes have improved and hopefully it grows stronger till the end.
And give the actress a break please. As a viewer, i should only see if the actors performed well or not. Shouldn't go beyond that and explore their personal lives(i don't know the controversy) or age. She did good with her character. Director could have included the character's witty banters from season1 but unfortunately she grew silent after the lake scene.
- 2 tiring episodes. Could have condensed them into one by reducing some of the screen time of the village killings. Too much violence for too long. Kind of 'in your face' episodes on violence. - Sloppy writing regarding ML, forgetting about the little sister completely. Could have sent some men to look for her. This is not in line with the character that we have seen in him so far. - Again sloppy writing regarding FL, forgetting about her little sister since woken up. Even when she was in the village, she showed no urgency to look for the little one. And so, it almost appeared comical when she fainted on hearing the news of her missing sister. - Don't ask me about the scene where FL almost fell off the cliff. It's just convenient writing to show the ML how much she cares about him. Again, convenient writing for him to show up there magically.
on the bright side, kudos in showing the effects of war and how insignificant people's lives were and still are, even today in the game of politics, money and power.
Sorry but I don't agree I have seen few drama where SML do have enough screentime still people feel SML syndrome…
ML confessed and she never agreed to it. Then how is it two timing? If she hesitates to engage in that conversation then it means she is uncomfortable talking this with ML. She doesn't owe any explanation to ML in regards to his feelings for FL. His feelings is his own business. She can remain silent for as long as she feels comfortable to discuss.
Looks like the crowd tends to support the pair that the drama is not leaning towards(SML syndrome). If the drama has leaned towards ML, then the crowd would be shipping SML. BTW, FL is not two timing. She is put in a situation by receiving 2 confessions and is trying to decide. There is no rule that everyone has to make decision at a certain pace. She can go at her own pace.
Personally, I would have preferred if the story focused more on the baby like in "baby's day out". Now the baby is used only as a plot to keep ML and FL together.
