I feel like the dialogue is lacking quite a lot.. and I agree that the acting is unfortunately not their best work either (though the script might partially be to blame for that). Which is sad, because I usually really do like both the main leads :-( also, love triangles are so overdone by now and I really could do without them lol

am i the only one who thinks the pace is too fast? and because of that, there’s no build-up at all, which is such a shame because i had really high hopes for this show (i’m currently on ep 6)

That’s what my gut feeling said as well, but you never know! They didn’t release all eps at once in the first season of gyeongseong creature for example, the two last episodes got released later for some reason 🥴

I rewatched the show for the second time just now and I was wondering about that as well! On the other hand, he did say that it's very easy to "pick up" the organization (aka the giant's club) when you know how it operates, so maybe he picked it up (briefly?) and threatened the involved people - and therefore could easily give the Comissioner a new position? Idk, this is just me thinking out loud.

If I remember correctly, Ki Chul gave it to Eui Jung when they were young and both lived in the same orphanage, they where eachother's first love. I think he might have made a promise when giving it, but I can't remember exactly what. Do correct me if I'm wrong!
