After watching ep. 11 I started scrolling through the comments here and I saw one mentioning how Adachi always learns advantageous information in scenes featuring the elevator and that perhaps in this past episode he should've listened to Kurosawa and taken the stairs... anyway this comment got me to thinking (AKA overanalysing!)
What if the elevator represents Adachi's powers? The powers have given Adachi an advantage to tackle situations in a quicker and easier manner than he usually would, like with the cake in ep. 5, the comments he made during the presentation in ep. 11 and obviously things with Kurosawa. Just like using the magic, using the elevator is quicker and easier than taking the stairs which is longer and takes more effort. Kurosawa asking Adachi in ep. 1 if he wants to take the stairs also mirrors his comments about wanting to take things slow in their relationship too.
Anyway with that in mind once things are resolved between the pair (I can't bring myself to say ~ if ~ things are resolved...) then I think it'd be sweet if there's a scene that mirrors ep. 1 where Adachi and Kurosawa are standing at the elevators. This time however Adachi asks Kurosawa if he wants to use the stairs, symbolising a natural progression of their relationship instead of one that takes shortcuts.
Ahh, sorry if this comment is a tad long and sounds a bit like nonsense haha. I just wanted to get my thoughts out that I had. I imagine I'm probably just looking too deeply into the whole elevator thing but it's fun to imagine!
Regarding the detail you last mentioned, Kurosawas desk isn't shown in episode 8 so you probably meant episode…
Oh, my mistake I did in fact mean episode 7! Yes the same brand, sorry if I worded that badly. A several years old coffee wouldn't be the best gift idea haha.
I'm curious what will happen in episode 11 too, I can only imagine that Kurosawa may learn about Adachi's powers but who knows!
Potential spoiler I guess? but I was rewatching last night and in Ep. 7 Kurosawa talks about the firsts someone will have with Adachi and lists 1. Going on a date 2. Having a meal together and 3. Holding hands. Which from the info I've seen elsewhere about the series is probably what will happen in the next episodes. If so I think it's a sweet nod!
Also its a silly detail but the drink Kurosawa hands to Adachi in Ep. 1 I'm pretty sure is also the same drink that Kurosawa has on his desk in Ep. 8.
