so i'm about half way through episode 9.. and i don't understand anything that's going on. like how did this surgery relate to North Korea, Jae Hee, etc in the first place? i understand the supposed repercussions if Park didn't "win".. but why? i don't understand the point or relevance of this "mission" that the one guy from North Korea keeps referring to. he was beat and punished for letting Park Hoon escape, but that doesn't explain anything. i do enjoy this but a viewer shouldn't be this confused this far into a series.
great skill, and a really beautiful guy. hated his character at the beginning of Angry Mom, fairly, but he developed into being my favorite character of the series. looking forward to seeing him more often.
went into this expecting something completely different from what it is. for any interested viewers, note that there's more drama than comedy, but the comedy that is here is really good. overall i enjoy this a lot
the biggest negative to me is that as far as media relating to bullying goes, this falls into a lot of familiar patterns, with familiar twists. it's sometimes hard to take seriously because of how unrealistic it grows to be, and i'm not referring to the mom. the comedic elements are all pretty fresh, and i like the juxtaposition of comedy with drama. but everything else isn't really new. reminds me a lot of the jdrama "LIFE" (although Angry Mom is much better).
am i the only one who thought that the ending was really abrupt? great series overall, but i feel that it could have been wrapped up much tighter. too many loose ends. still loved this though and i'll miss these characters. 9/10
edit: just read the writers interview about the ending, makes me sad :-(
the characters are so exaggerated, and the "suspenseful" scenes are so outrageous that i can't even manage to become emotionally invested or take this seriously. if you're a younger viewer or perhaps REALLY interested in the synopsis, then maybe give it a shot, but you won't find a realistic setting or cast here. expected to like this one, but less than mediocre so far.
edit: somehow even more ridiculous in the latter half
it's nice so far. but i can't help but feel that it's really predictable despite all of the twists and turns. i also get really angry with the characters, like how they'll trust anyone who has deceived them twenty times over at the drop of a hat, yet distrust anyone who has proved themselves as trustworthy many times over. definitely entertaining and easy to watch, though.
