After reflecting for a bit, I think I'm happy with Iksong progress. Yes on the surface, he's a little deep in the friend zone but deep inside we can see that Songhwa is slowly opening her heart. She's the type that's independent and always has this cool cucumber vibe but she showed her vulnerable side to Ikjun and accept his help when something goes down. She doesn't distance herself from Ikjun when troubles come and actually communicates when something is wrong. Ikjun doesn't say meaningless comforting words but showed his support by little actions such as taking her home and buying her favorite grill. He accepted her little joys despite questioning her purchases at first. They communicate and depend on each other. This is something that other couples don't have LOL.
