Basically, the two leads have a one-night stand after she was drugged by a jealous « friend » of hers. In the morning, she misunderstands he was part of this plot and, panicked, she leaves. He’s extremely saddened as he was already in love with her, even though they knew for one night only. However, she’s pregnant and secretly gives birth to his twins. They meet again five years later : turns out he’s the illegitimate son of a jerky CEO who once hurt her family. And now, she wants to use the male lead to get info on his dad’s company for her family’s company (she also kinda wants to get revenge as she’s angry for what happened between them). But they fall in love once again.

I don’t think he truly blamed her for that, I think he was actually jealous as he probably was already attracted to the female lead but didn’t want to admit it (because he thought her to be a greedy woman)

Don’t blame yourself, it’s very hard to learn language, especially with Chinese since it’s so different from English (we don’t even have the same characters)
It feels kinda weird (at first I couldn’t believe it : I thought it was the young Chinese actor Jerry Yan as his age is closer from Shen Yue’s). However, I can’t help but notice the irony : the old Dao Mingsi and the new Dong Shan Cai are paired here !
