There's no official reason My opinion (and many others’, i think) is that it’s because the quality of their lakorns has been seriously degrading these last few years let’s not even mention that most of them have been far from successful, that the scripts are not only low quality anf all look alike but this also causes their artists to stagnate : their careers can’t propsper because of theit dramas being unsuccessful, but moreover, they keep being stuck with the same kind of character again and again and cannot progress either. So neither their career nor their acting range can improve. Like this, of course they’d prefer to go freelance : they gain more opportunities and can play more kinds of lakorns and more kinds of parts, progress as an artist and maybe gain more fame, or at least be known for another kind of character that what they're used to play

Like the fact that the vampire éventually turns out not to be a girl but a castrated boy or the fact that her/his fake father/servant has a thing for young teenagers...

Nevertheless, whatever feelings or attraction she may have for him, they're not her main driving force for her actions towards him or a priority, especially compared to her revenge At least for now
