There's no official reason My opinion (and many othersā, i think) is that itās because the quality of their lakorns has been seriously degrading these last few years letās not even mention that most of them have been far from successful, that the scripts are not only low quality anf all look alike but this also causes their artists to stagnate : their careers canāt propsper because of theit dramas being unsuccessful, but moreover, they keep being stuck with the same kind of character again and again and cannot progress either. So neither their career nor their acting range can improve. Like this, of course theyād prefer to go freelance : they gain more opportunities and can play more kinds of lakorns and more kinds of parts, progress as an artist and maybe gain more fame, or at least be known for another kind of character that what they're used to play
