I'm ready for this drama to come out..but at the same time I have this bad feeling...

It might be my last as well. I guess in the end I love this drama not because it is BL but that it is truly captivating.

Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of romance. But it's good to know that this drama isn't just for fanservice.

Nothing against it but I am not a fujoshi. While I do enjoy a bit of pure interaction between males, the main reason why I watch a show is for its storyline. The beginning of episode 1 is great and I was captivated. However, episode 2 and 3, besides the flirting between the two main leads, I couldn’t find any other reason to keep going with this drama. Since I’m only on episode 3, it would be great if someone can tell me otherwise. Like, the story itself is actually really good and worth continuing. I heard this drama is quite good, but I just need more than the two males to keep me going.

I didn't have an issues with her acting, mainly because most of her scenes didn't require a lot of acting talent. Pretty straight forward.

I find it's more annoying when people rant about annoying characters.

I understand your frustrations but without acting experience what other show can she be in...

People might have forgot but this show was initially a low-budget idol drama.

Just want to point out, the FL won second place in idol TV show produce 101 during the time, which is quite popular in Asia.

The only thing I can say with certainty is that I like Ma Hong Jun drama version way more than the original.

I thought we were talking about the dramas from last year. I didn't mean to say that all those dramas are from CCTV8. Misinterpretation...my bad.

Hmm what about legend of awakening and world of fantasy? I thought it's similar genre.

Edit: I forgot about Ever Night 2.

I have to say no to Novoland because there's way too many spin-off and I don't have the time to invest in it. Ever Night I gave up after the third episode and plus I heard the ending is bad. Honestly these type of story doesn't work well for live action adaption. Just like how Attack on Titan was better off just being an anime.

Not saying there's no cdrama with good CGI but there's only a handful of them. If you know of any that I havent heard of yet, please recommend them to me.

What is the budget allocated to this drama? If it's a big budget, I would think they would have casted more well known actors/actress for the roles.

Btw this drama was filmed before both The Untamed and Joy of Life aired.

Hmm if you think the CGI here is bad then you haven't seen enough cdrama...

Going to be honest, just finished episode 7 and a little disappointed. The pacing of the story doesn't feel solid, some of the scenes are so weirdly cut, and the obnoxious BGM is really turning me off. Even if it wasn't for Xiao Zhan, I was still hoping something excellent from the same director of Joy of Life, but the latest episode just didn't do it for me. Especially that scene with Ou Si Ka and Xiao Wu talking back and forth was so out of place and not funny imo.

I'm just comparing the two in terms of how good the story is for me. I thought LOF is bad but it's still 8.0 on MDL while I think DC is quite good but the rating is dropping like firework. Kinda weird. You and me know that this has a huge fanbase, but not every drama goers know that. Unfortunately, some people will just look at the rating and dismiss the drama as bad without even giving it a chance.

Wow this drama rating dropping even faster than legend of fei. LOF was terrible for me but I only just finish episode 6 of this so I don't know what to expect anymore.
