His sister wasn't really killed because he made that decision. I know Jiang Cheng and WWX himself might feel that way too, but there's too much to consider. The only thing is now her death is under his name. Even if he didn't go against the people, with his power everyone either fear him or want his power for their own. They were going to bring him down no matter the cause.

Edit: His sister's death wasn't planned. She die because she love him. It was a complete accident.

I don't think he have a lot of time to just sit down with a cup of tea and think this over. Beside maybe Lan Zhan and his sister, nobody want to listen to him anyway. He was a lone wolf in this situation and time wasn't on his side. As time passes, more and more people were being kill or hurt.

I don't think it's the intention of being a 'hero'. It is doing what you believe in. Of course if his belief ended up with him being a 'hero' or a 'traitor' than that just the opinion of the people. And his belief might not be the same as your or the same with the general masses (an example is someone not liking The Untamed while the majority do). The point is to stay true to yourself and what you believe in. You also see that WWX is not perfect. Personally, I think that's what make him such a good character. He's human like anyone of us, which do make mistakes ever now and then but also learn from them. He have to sacrifice a lot of things because of his belief and after 16 years something in him really changed. And the beautiful thing is, he learn but doesn't regret. Staying true to himself until the very end. Of course your opinion have some truth to it as well, but you must know that there’s too much of a gray area in this matter. Can’t really say who’s right and who’s wrong.

Just out of curiosity though, what would you have done in that situation if you were him? Actually, what would anyone have done? Anyone want to share their thoughts?

Well, I guess it's more toward the relationship between WangXiao :D. But there is some truth in the story that can be related to the real-world.

Great. I'm glad that it's getting better for you. Yeah there's quite a bit of unspoken cruelty later. Actually, some youtubers even do theories video and hidden meanings regarding some of the scenes for this drama.

Thanks for the recommendation. I finished Nirvana in Fire several years ago, but unfortunately I'm one of the minority (like you when it comes to The Untamed) who can't seem to find the drama interesting. I have high hope for Life of Joy though, it's on my to watch list. :D

It's unfortunate that the story didn't fit your preference. May I ask you to recommend me something that is similar to this and you think is better? Maybe that can finally help cure my love for this drama.

Well, not sure if you’re hanging around here anymore lol. Yeah book 2 was pretty straightforward for me. I guess I just comes across too many politic scenarios similar to it that I find book 2 to not be that entertaining. Still have not yet finish the whole series but I totally agree with you on the dynamic of HuaLian’s relationship. I hope that it will change as I get closer to the end of the series. Back then when I said Hua Cheng pampering Xie Lien, I didn’t realize how much of an understatement that was lol. Probably even to the point where it’s getting kind of hard to swallow now XD.

That’s unfortunate. I was hoping Qi Rong’s character to have some sort of major twist, convincing enough to why he turned out the way he did and maybe for me to even empathize with him.

Oh gosh, now I just want to hurry it up and get to the fourth book. But not just SQX’s arc though, I feel like there’s so many things that’s already been set into motion and just waiting to be exploit. It’s exciting to see how the author will go about it.

Really? I see Wang Hao Xuan as Qi Rong, but then again I'm only on the third book so He Xuan's character hasn't been well introduce to me yet. I got a little spoiled about SQX’s character so I already know his arc is going to be really good. Right off the bat, I love his character and I hope I won’t get disappointed. He’s just so interesting :D

Haha yes, well hello again to you too. How could I forget that gif of WWX somewhat sarcastic screaming expression. Gets me every time lol. I just started on book 3, and if it’s like you said that it get more complicated then I’m excited to read what happens next.
Since I haven’t finish the whole series, I can’t place a final judgement on it yet. But I would like to know how you feel about the characters in HOB. Do you have a favorite? This is just completely my opinion but while I think Xie Lian is a well-developed protagonist, he seem to fall short when compare to the shadow of WWX (that’s completely my fault though, I can’t help but compare the two sighhh). His story is interesting but he himself is not really so. I find myself more engage whenever Hua Cheng appears (or even Shi Qingxuan). Unfortunately, they seem to take the limelight away from Xie Lian.
Also, I can’t wait to start on SVSSS after I finish HOB. I heard that one is consider the comedy out of the 3. :D

I feel the opposite lol. HOB isn't too complicated for me and I actually prefer the setting over MDZS. However, the characters in MDZS are just too wonderful making it more enjoyable for me than HOB.

Yessss, Yibo will be perfect as Hua Cheng. They are so similar to each other. However, now that I am a little further into the book, I'm not so sure how I feel about Xiao Zhan playing as Xie Lian. I secretly want him to be Shi Qingxuan Lol.

I’m still on the first book so I haven’t come across the number 33 yet, or maybe I just missed it hmm. Totally agree with you on the roles part. The main reason why I wish Yibo played as Hua Cheng is just because I really want to see Yibo pamper and adorbs Xiao Zhao XD.

I seen a lot of dramas in the past 20 years or so of my life. While there are some that comes and goes, there are some that stick with me a little while longer, and The Untamed is one of them. And even though it’s not openly depicted, out of the near hundreds of dramas I seen, books I read, Lan Zhan feeling toward Wei Ying really got me thinking about what it means to truly love someone.

Just started reading Heaven Official’s Blessing from the same author as this one. I just want to say, the author is really good at what she do. The story is so interesting and it have similar style as Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. I also can’t help but imagine Xiao Zhan as Xie Lian and Yibo as Hua Cheng. If they ever decided to make Heaven Official’s Blessing into a live-action, please bring XZ and YB back. I miss this duo so much already.
