showing women‘s struggle through the eyes of a man…this concept is not new at all and has been used many times. sorry I won’t applaud that.
It’s a deeper issue

You seem to forget that in these stories the men always do something unrealistic in order to realize their mistake. Like pretending to be female and then experience it first hand or body swap, etc.
It’s not like they organically learn from their mistakes and change like someone would in reality.

I‘m so over dramas and movies where (male) characters only learn to respect women by experiencing the sexism and discrimination themselves. It’s taking away personal responsibility not to be a douche. Scriptwriter who still write stories like this have a lot of internalized misogyny.

Remember in early episodes ZC spirit in LZD panicked seeing a goat in the trunk of a car and when SX came he went back to being himself and then found out he was scared of goats like ZC. The team also talked about his fear of goats before him when they discussed the race.

I normally only watch costume dramas but watched this as I also lived with my grandma in an old folk‘s home for a while.
I think that’s why I loved this.

Intense and heartbreaking but also a feast for the eyes.
