The Government procurement plot (PPS deal) in EP11 and 12 was kinda solid, the idea of direct sourcing with factory was realistic, overall much better written and directed than previous business cases. However all efforts were ruined by the fire at the end of EP12. If the intention behind this drama is to bring hope and comfort to the audience, then at the very least, it shouldn't leave people feeling more frustrated after watching it. They absolutely need a more balanced failure and success storytelling if they want to convey original intention.

I’m hesitant to watch it because of the female lead, even though the edits are trending. And it’s not just…
She's perfect for more serious dramas or slice of life, she did very well in Pachinko and Lightshop. However, she seems a bit off in the recent episodes when the plot shifted towards a little action base or romcom. imo her portrayal of subtle romance in the earlier episodes was much better..

ML decided to terminate the office rental while he stayed in Thailand, there should have a scene in Thailand showing the pressure he faced and how tough decision it was when running a business during turbulent times. Its an important character development arc for the ml that deserved more focus.

Hospital Playlist was a fantastic case study for how to make a very popular enjoyable well written show without…
Hospital playlist was one of my top shows. Yeah they could refer to that writing pattern and apply for trading firms.

So far an enjoyable watch except the writing and pacing of business actions. The writer could just focus on few major business issues for the protagonist to solve. Things like the photo lost and the transportation issues in Thailand were minor, overly dramatic and unrelated to business; they had no value other than creating chaos and made viewers feel even more frustrating.  The purpose of having action sequence is to add excitement to the story and let viewers feel entertaining, not another way round.

Highly rated work/ business kdramas usually feature extremely smart protagonist who is either chaebol or lawyer, a grounded/ underdog male lead in Typhoon family is rarely seen but it fits the coming of age theme. The main poster gives me an impression of a passionate kdrama that the protagonist gonna fight and win everything but after binging 8 episodes it turns out not exactly what i've expected (in a good way). The core of this drama surrounds human aspect of running a business instead of winning big over rivalry company or getting big deals. It offers depth and character dimensions that many work kdramas are lacking. I'll keep watching and hope it will wrap up well.

This is Misaeng rating years ago .https://asianwiki.com/Misaeng:_Incomplete_Life when ratings are still higher…
Misaeng is one of my all time favorites. But this gen of people don't like realistic and heavy dramas, it may only get 3-4% if it airs today. Typhoon Family is much easier to watch as it has little comedy and romance to lighten up the mood, so it got higher ratings.

the problem here is not that he is a sexist towards women being in "men" fields. The problem is him treating…
The field she's trying to enter does matters. The level of misogyny she'd face in other fields say garment worker (Taepung's mum) or general admin (senior female colleague) are much less than sales. Those works were often regarded as women's job back in 90's. But a sales job is different. Like the sales manager told her, the job needs to go out and meet male customers so she has to prove fitting the job. Fairly speaking, I don't see the sales manager treat her particularly bad before his return, other than asking her make them coffees. Since its a drama, at the end they will reconcile for sure.

Episode 8 reminds me of another workplace classic 'Misaeng'. The workplace reality, conflicts and depth of emotions, but Misaeng is heavier. Haven't watched quality workplace drama for a long time, hope this drama will keep up in latter episodes.
