What price does superspeed and fire manipulation cost?Telekinesis is calories. The Phasing requires alcohol. And…
Those seems not explicitly explained in the drama, as well as the cop's ability. The drama has good potentials, I hope there will be a season 2 to explain all those and expand the worldview.
I like the simplicity and humor of this drama, yet the message it delivers is deep and inspiring. Yeah there were some non sense parts, like making marriage proposal in a burning hall?? but thanks to its fast pacing and unserious nature some flaws were ignored while watching. I think how a drama is received really depends on the viewer's perspective and mindset. Imo it's an enjoyable and good watch despite some unpolished details.
I went in without much expectation on fight scenes but it delivered better than i expected.
Favorite action/ fight scenes (in order): 1. Final showdown Sang Ung vs Jonathan (ep8): the action sequence and VFX were the best, good pacing and length; 2. Jo Bo ah vs Joanna's bodyguard (ep2): chasing and combat were great. Jo boah's character has good potential, they should cast her a main role if there is Season 2; 3. Sang Ung saving the bus (ep1): good tension and acting; 4: Bank basement fight Sang Ung vs Jonathan team (ep7)
In general they did better one-on-one than group fights, like the team fight outside Cho's lab could be better directed
Finished EP7, its fast paced and binge worthy. So far the drama delivered as it intended, the premise of relatable heroes was unique and the balance between reality and ability was exquisite with good narrative about 'Money'. The villain part a bit cliche but since its a hero drama so it seems unavoidable to have plot like kidnapping his GF... Character wise, ML"s development is good, but i wish there was more narrative about Byeon Ho In and Bang Eun Mi's abilities as those were socially relatable.
Overall the scale was bigger than i expected, vfx/ cgi wasn't top notch but good enough for its purpose.
At this point an enjoyable watch, at least 8.5/10.
Man, the story is not even close to the original webtoon. They even changed the main theme. Only the name is the…
The storyline and premise of original webtoon was too simple for a drama. Obviously the drama didn't intend to follow that, everything is new except the money consuming ability.
Eh from trailer I got the impression this will be another bad forgettable Twelve 😅Shallow action with focus…
I think this isn't a superhero story with a pure focus on vfx and dazzling power plays. The synopsis and the premise give me more expectations on plot, character dynamis, sense of humour and what message it gonna convey, but not much on visual effects.
Generally the 30s are a strong period for actors landing major roles, some male actors even peak in their 40s or 50's like Lee Jung-jae. Actors who have good eyes for choosing projects and strong self management can sustain peak careers longer. Lee junho's still considered young to me, he has the ability to do complex roles and genre project as he aged.
is this seriously a netflix drama, everything in the trailer looks poor execution and less quality
Looks like this show doesn't intend to sell a grand worldview and dazzling power plays, but rather focuses on the unique premise of power struggles and social critique related to money.
I don't think the point is to bring hope and comfort to the audience but attempt to reflect the reality of the…
Quote from drama interviews and it's how the drama was marketed before airing. Hope, courage, comfort were constantly mentioned.
"provide empathy and comfort by helping them understand and respect their parents' generation." They continued, "We hope that the 'typhoon spirit' of that era, which [helped people] overcome the crisis and move forward, will bring hope and courage to viewers living in today's world"
Lee Jun-ho shares, I hope this story brings laughter, comfort, and genuinely resonates with you. It’s about rising with those you love, finding strength in unexpected places,
Kim Min-ha adds, I hope viewers not only watch but feel each moment—youth, hope, hardship, and triumph. [ triumph where?]

Also, the fire itself wasn't related to IMF background or economic crisis. Its just a device to a create drama.
