Episode 14 PLEASE THIS DRAMA I WILL NOT SURVIVEEEE ππππ That MATCHMAKING HANDKERCHIEF I AM DEAD the writer is literally stuffing fluffy cotton candy down my throat and I AM HERE FOR IT.
at this point, SR should just quit YG's house and join the paparazzi. That woman whips out her camera over EVERYTHING -_- no, forget paparazzi, she should just become a private investigator what with all the snooping and testing she does
In other news, our ML has finally joined the ranks of the CEO MLs who do sexy U-turns and don't get any office work done π
how did se ra's mother become friends with dan dan's aunt and young guk's step mother? Is se ra's mother poor?…
I'm pretty sure SR's mom worked for DD's aunt and then got fired or something... and then the two made up again and the aunt let SR's mom continue living there. And because she's friends with DD's aunt who's rich... she became friends with YG's step-mom?
I was wondering the same thing... not because I cared about the family, but I was wondering whether it's okay to ship Mi Sook's son JunO with Mi Rim π They're my favorite after the mains... looks like the classic hate-to-love trope I love so much LOL
I thought i had read somewhere that korean broadcast stations were done with these long family makjang type dramas?…
Only KBS still makes weekend dramas.... all the other networks have discontinued theirs. It's just KBS that broadcasts two weekend dramas at a time - one revenge makjang and another family one. This falls under the family category. I think the current revenge makjang is Red Shoes.
Episode 13 OH MY GOODNESS I have been rolling around the couch squealing like a little pig because of how cute our main couple is!!!! I can't stop rewinding to the part where he's standing in fron of her, offering her that coffee... he's sooooo handsome and the height difference just KILLS me every single time!
I really should be hating the whole ahjumma arc and sometimes things are cringey but I am OBSESSED. Love how the writer didn't drag out the "let's torture FL using dementia as an excuse" arc didn't even last that long and both witches were put in their place FAIR AND SQUARE!
The more I watch, the more I feel so sorry for poor YG... that man has one HELL of a time managing that househol overflowing with crazy women! Whoever compared him to a Joseon king was a genius.... I can literally envision him in king's robes, looking at the out-of-control witches in his household π Glad to see him talking to what seems to be a guy friend in the preview. I hope th friend isn't just a plot device and we can see him having a good friend and confidante.... same goes for DD. Wish the mc had some good friends to support them.
Honestly, I'll take amnesia happily if it's done right. The only amnesia plot I've ever seen done right is Shopaholic Louis. And maybe 100 Days My Prince. This plot reminds me of the animated Italian/American series, Winx Club, I used to watch as a kid. The ML gets amnesia after he gets together with FL, and the mean girl makes him believe that he's engaged to her and not the FL. It sparks lots of sadness and other craziness, but I liked the way that plot was handled. It wasn't frustrating. It actually brought a new depth to the main relationship in the end.
This is a special type of drama, simply called a weekend drama. It airs only on weekends and is aimed at the older/family audiences. It's the equivalent of a soap opera or telenovela. The production quality won't be as good as the usual weekday/web dramas, and the pacing is usually slower and easy to follow. You'll see seasoned/veteran actors slightly exaggerate their acting or tone down on the intimacy because this is a different genre that is supposed to be very family-friendly/traditional. There are two kinds of weekend dramas - melodramatic revenge(makjang) dramas and family dramas. This one falls under the "family" category.
Thinking of all the drama and the amnesia plot that is coming up makes me saaad! Can I have 38 episodes filled…
LMAO IKR?!! I find myself swooning over absolutely nothing! I really might not be able to handle it if they kiss! Hyun Woo says he "tones down on the kissing in weekend dramas so older audiences don't feel uncomfortable" but I have a sneaky suspicion I won't be able to handle the toned-down version either!
Unlike you, the SR-DB couple is just getting boring and repetitive for me :(
Any shows similar to this with a lot of episodes? been really enjoying this so far!
Never Twice - it's about an inn-owner who treats the people who come to board as her own children. They're one big family. I liked almost all the arcs and it was a heartwarming, lovely drama. Bonus: KWAK DONG YEON(Moonlight Drawn By Clouds) as a CEO who falls in love with a young single mom. His interactions with the cute little baby made my heart explode π
There's also Five Enough, but I haven't watched it yet. The reviews are really good for that one.
It comes every week so I'm hoping it's worth the time I'm investing into it. Till now, the story is quite fluffy,…
oh I always say that a fangirl never ages^^ I'm friends with a lot of amazing fangirls who have crossed their 60s and 70s! I'm still in my teens, but I love this drama. It's so comfortable, light and relaxing... reminds me of the old-timey heartwarming kdramas π₯°
