Goofy, Creative, and Surprisingly Well Written
This was a genuinely goofy series, but in a way that worked for me. Beneath the playful tone is a surprisingly complicated storyline that’s actually well written and well executed.
The story reminded me of the film Liz in September, even though I watched it years ago, likely because of the similar core premise. One of the most enjoyable surprises was when the characters suddenly broke into song—it felt almost like a musical, which I didn’t expect at all and found really fun.
