it’s all up to how you perceive the relationship so different ppl look at things differently and like the op said, everyone has different fiction boundaries. to me, they were separated for a very long time and since she was young, her mind wasn’t even developed yet and her memory was still childish so she could only remember him as a caring figure she yearned for so it’s almost like missing a ‘stranger’. i get where you’re coming from though since their relationship is a bit ‘complex’ and in one’s perspective, can be controversial. some ppl enjoy this almost kind of psychological approach, so hopefully good writing come through and a happy viewing for people who would enjoy this.

they weren’t raised as siblings if you read the novel, her mother didn’t like ml and always kept them away from each other when they were young. and the ml knew since the beginning that he’s not related to the family because he’s not treated as one and he knew his own origin. meanwhile the fl was the only one unaware of that, but she separated from him since she was 9, so her memory of him was very far in the past. she learnt about it later before she met him again and when she did met him, she sees him as a strange man, unrelated to her and her monologue was all about how he’s nothing like ‘the brother’ she knew from her toddler age. the romance didn’t develop until very much later a year after they met again, when she finished her exam.

No, Jin Chao is a son of Jiang Mu’s father’s friend. They took him in to raise since young and didn’t really regard him as their son. So they’re not related at all.

yeah, this is not some black and white situation so treating it as such is definitely not the best idea especially when these ppl have no control over the decisions made by the capital and are just trying to do their work.

i agree with everything you said. i think because of the grudge the fans have against the production team, they have somehow become so quick to jump into conclusion about everything even though we are only able to see only of what is shown from the leaks. the leaking from the crew already happened since the first day, yes, but somehow this flew over ppl’s head. everyone in the cast are working hard to give the story the justice it deserves so it feels a bit disrespectful, in my opinion, when i see fans talking about rushing the filming and not caring about the story that the casts are trying to save and proceed to claim that the crew are wasting the actors’ time and effort when it seems like the filming is ‘too slow’ but if it was fast, they would still be upset about them ‘not giving the characters justice’ all while they also make it known that they wish this drama never resurface after filming which just means you’d hope the time and effort of the actors you were worried about will actually just be in vain :/
i think we need to calm down and try to see this in a less biased perspective because like you said, no one knows the actual progress of the show so one thing we can do is not jump into conclusion and just voice out concerns if you’re worried about the production, hatred and anger will not help the actors you like in this difficult time because that’s the last thing they need right now:’(

it’s still a rumor and nothing has been confirmed yet so far. hopefully we get an update soon. just want the drama shooting to go well since i really love the novel and the drama pairing😢
