It still doesn’t fix a bigger issue lying and lack of communication oh what was going on which could of been…
I guess we have to leave it at disagreeing with each other because all I see are reasons for them to be together considering how naturally they developed into it.

Apart from the romance in the drama, I'm actually surprised by how everything started to tie up in terms of the mystery in Ep13, considering they only dropped a few hints throughout the past 12 episodes. And it is tying up pretty neatly because a lot made sense after Ep13. I'm impressed

But I do feel that it is still possible especially when things that one does expect start happening so suddenly. The both of them had a certain life before they met each other and even before it developed into a romantic one. Once it became romantic, they didn't know how to deal with things so they ran. And just because they are adults, it doesn't mean they should get everything right the first time around, and isn't that the basis of this show, adults living with their 7-year-old selves? They are growing up. So the breakup happening in Ep12 actually gives them 4 episodes of time to deal with things better. And they already overcame the problems on the surface in Ep13. So I'm expecting more of that.

Personally, I feel that just because so many shows do ridiculous things like breaking up the couple for no reason at all, just for the sake of creating conflict to extend it to 16 episodes, I do not think it is fair to dismiss the few shows which actually give a very convincing reason for the breakup just because it also falls under the "breakup trope".

In Ep12, I was already convinced with why they decided to breakup and especially because the show gave us the reasons first which led to the breakup after and not breakup first and then give out reasons. In Ep8 after YD asks DJ to be friends, she convinces him that they can be more, but then neither of them realized that the consequences were bigger than they expected. Like YD mentions in Ep13, he almost caused an accident, he realized that he could not only emotionally hurt her but physically as well. I'm pretty sure that DJ realizes that as well considering the accident was what she first asked about when she heard YD was hospitalized. But as DJ says in Ep13, she does not know how she can help him but she still would like to try, and for YD, hearing that was what he really needed to hear to overcome the things he is afraid of. This is why after Ep13, I was convinced of this breakup and the rest of the 3 episodes are probably about overcoming those issues now that they cleared the problems on the surface.

i regret that i started watching this drama yesterday bcz now i have completed 10 eps but have to wait 2 weeks…
Actually it isn't just because of the Olympics. It is the general situation of all romance dramas regardless of which channel they air on or who is starring in them. If you look at pure romance dramas like this one (this was promoted as one despite its various genres), they all have poor ratings, but they all do very well on OTT platforms because the genre itself is a lighter genre which can be watched at any time without any pressure with things like spoilers. This drama itself has been taken top spots on both NetflixKr and Tving on at least one day in the week and remain in the top 5 throughout the week. Romance dramas with fantasy, historical elements or ones with high stakes are the ones which do well in ratings but even those do not go beyond 5-6% like other genres do. So despite the popularity of both Seo HyunJin and Kim DongWook (he is pretty famous in SKor but not internationally because his fame mostly comes from movies which most ifans do not watch), they didn't do well in ratings.

Title You Are My Spring Spoiler
Sigh they were doing good avoiding most tropes but had to do the breakup trope for the most silly reason
Normally I would agree about them using the breakup trope, but in this case I actually found it to be one of the most reasonable breakups. Because sure, while him not wanting to hurt her as well as what her mum said to him were the catalysts for the breakup, there were deeper reasons like what her mum said to him about a momentary greed causing problems. They were both putting aside their feelings to be "friends" like he asked, but a momentary lapse of judgement caused them to both dive into a relationship without actually discussing what was initially keeping them apart and pretty avoided it during the short time they spent together. So they both ran at the very first problem that came up in the relationship. Also, like he mentioned to the detective as well, despite promising to live as long as he can, he got greedy and made himself more vulnerable because he will always feel guilty to her. So, I'm expecting that the next 4 episodes to actually be about them sorting those feelings out.

I'm in love with this show.....everything from acting, directing, writing, OST is on point!
And I guess it's safe to say there is no need to worry about a love triangle, in case anyone was put off by that tag...

Agree! But do you think they will confirm this month? Huhu
Actually it is possible that they have already started filming coz Lee Minki's drama ended last month, while the others, except Son Seokkoo, do not have other projects announced. Law School is pre-produced and apparently finished filming back in Feb. Its possible that the only reason there is no confirmed news is because there is no exact schedule for the drama yet coz so many jtbc dramas have been announced.

Wait im soo confused... So they are 7 years old? That's weird...
They aren't 7 years old. What they mean by " live on with their seven-year-old selves in their hearts" is that what ever happened to all of them when they were each 7 years old, shaped them to be who they are in their present and thus, remember that time vividly.
