This drama could have been perfect, if not for the ending.
The writers did a good job though by making Kang Tae Wook the killer, he never raised any suspicion until a few episodes before the ending. Until then I had been suspicious about Eun Joo since she was so weirdly calm about the death of her husband sometimes.
The cinematography was amazing and the other characters were written very well too. The actors did a superb job! The ending was just a bit 'meh' for me. Maybe I was expecting too much, in my opinion it should have finished with a bang. Or just a little bit more closure. I was not even expecting a happy ending, but this open ending was just ended too abruptly.
Good drama, but you have to pay attention every second. Very complicated too, and the last scene did not really make sense to me. But all in all I will give it 8/10.
Is this drama also enjoyable for adults aged 25+ years old? I can't help but get the feeling this is something I would have loved as a teenager haha, but not sure if I would like it now.
Managed to finish this after all. It was not bad, just a little draggy between a few episodes and some characters were REALLY annoying for a while. Gave it 7.5/10, but the OST deserves 10/10.
Good drama. The characters were good and enjoyable, story line was also good. Suzy's acting skills also have improved and Lee Jong Suk was good as always.
In some scenes I could see where both Hyun Soo and Jung Sun were coming from.. I can understand her feeling lonely because he did not share all of his feelings with her, but I can also totally understand how difficult it must be for him. However, I think she should have been more patient and understanding of his situation. When people's scars are too deep, even though they trust and love someone, it might take a long time for them to open up. That is why I got so annoyed that she rejected his proposal! And I don't understand why she did not explain the awkward relationship between her and Jung Woo either. She should have told her parents about that before the whole operation thing with her mother.
After last week's episodes I am not 100% sure if I should continue. There are still a lot of episodes left, and I feel like they have been dragging the story for 3 weeks already. I'm also sick of the behavior of the 2nd male lead and 2nd female lead. It is a pity because I love the main actress, Seo Hyun Jin!
I took a break while watching this drama because so many other dramas got the priority, but damn, this drama is so good! Great acting, plot, and amazing cinematography.
I don't understand why I didn't take my classmate for his word when he told my class about this movie. It was absolutely amazing! Definitely one of the best action movies I've ever seen.
I enjoyed the drama, but for a drama I had anxiously been waiting for for months I expected more. I mean, the cast, cinematography and chemistry between the leads was amazing (and very realistic, too! nobody was behaving sheepishly naive), but for some reason I felt the whole drama was missing something. A stronger plot. The drama certainly had it's charming moments, but after a few episodes I already knew that I wouldn't really be waiting for the next ones. For that, I'm glad it only had 16 episodes. I do wish the writers would've done more about the plot though, because there was even more potential than we got to see! All in all, because it was a good drama and I did enjoy this a lot, I will give this 8.5 points. (And this is pretty high for a drama I wasn't obsessed about)
Am I the only one who was a bit upset when Jung Hwan "confessed" to Duk Seon? Even though I was on team Taek, I started to feel bad for him, especially after he couldn't get to the concert venue in time to meet Duk Seon. Maybe I misunderstood the whole scene, but to me it seemed like he was confessing to her, and then acting like it was a joke. I thought it was so lame of him and I lost my empathy for him tbh.
Anyways, I really loved this drama. I'm a huge fan of the 80s so I really liked the nostalgic atmosphere of the drama. The other characters were also really loveable, the interactions between the families were heartwarming. I was kind of hoping to see Taek and Duk Seon's wedding ceremony and how the others ended up, but oh well. I'll give this drama 9/10 ^^
really liked the beginning of the drama but i'm not sure if i should finish this one? it became boring to me around episode 10/11 and i'm just so confused about the chaebol side-story :')
This drama was nice, but not great. After I while I got really bored with the main couple (no chemistry at all) and the only reason I kept watching was for Gwi... I had only known LSH as a model before so I was really surprised with his acting. He did a good job!
The ending was really lame in my opinion, all that talk about a secret plan to kill Gwi and in the end he dies because of the rays of the sun? And from where the hell did Kim Sung Yeol come back after 1 year?
But the scene after the queen had died and Gwi carried her into his underground palace.. I KNEW he loved her! T___T The love he had for her was more believable than Jo Yang Sun's & Kim Sung Yeol's love to be honest..
1,5 hours of my life that I'll never get back :// Big nope for me.. - and I loved the anime by the way. The special effects weren't that good, story wasn't strong enough, no Levi (why they left him out of this movie is beyond me) and a few unnecessary awkward scenes. Nope. This was a disappointment in my opinion.

Don't get me started about Hong Ah..
