Well, sweaters are really popular here. The faroese sweaters (think snowflakes) are really popular, and so are oversize cable knits. I personally love sweaters in traditional patterns and don't mind faroe knits, although Alessandra goes ahead and throws them into the "ugly christmas sweater" category. That said, the sweaters on this show are ugly 90's sweaters gone psychedelic or something. I haven't seen anything quite like them shopping here.

That one, from episode 5 I think, which was maybe white with different rings or geometic patterns on it in all different sizes....OMG. It's not even as dignified as something from a senior citizen's closet, it's like he found it at a hipster haunted house. But Bobin gave a horrified gasp when I said it was ugly. The only thing I could have done worse would be to say Yoochun could have worn it better xD

I'm not so sure other guys would be attracted to that lip color...guyliner seems like a safer bet.

Mostly I'm confused because my Korean is very limited, and I'm going off of body language and the dramatic gasping for the most part. Therefore, I'm not too sure of the differences in character and plot.

I know it's a poor girl with a deaf/mute mom who works at a rich family's house. She tried to study abroad in CA, but her sister absconded with the money? So she had to borrow money from LMH to get home. And LMH is the illegitimate son of her mom's employer? And they ate pancakes in CA. And there are lots of miserable people and love triangles. And PSH gets to go to school with the rich kids because of the generous employer, but she can't afford the uniform. And lots of people are mean to her//curious about her at school. I should just watch it in English, probably, if I can stand it.

Min Hyuk is super cute! Although he was even cuter in Heartstrings, the big glasses look suits him. LMH...looked pretty good in Personal Taste, but right now...Idk if it's the haircut, the red hair, if he lost weight, but he looks really gaunt and not attractive. And the pink lipstick clashes with his hair color :/

I just finished Protect the Boss, and I started Reply 1997 a few weeks ago but haven't got very far. How are you liking Heirs? I've been watching it when it happens to be on TV, but I need to start over with the subtitles so I actually know what's going on

(And I still think Kim Woo Bin kinda looks like a thug.)

Oh, it's ok, you can keep that one if you like it! I'll go get some ginko leaves at lunchtime and start drying them :) I haven't pressed leaves in a long time! We have ginkos in the stl botanical garden, which is my favorite place on the planet, but we don't usually go there in the fall. My mom has earrings and a necklace that are ginko leaves dipped in gold leaf though, and probably because of that I've always thought the shape is so pretty.

I'm kind of watching heirs...I saw the first episode in Korean, then watched 3&4 in English with my friends in Gyoengju (cause I missed out on bananagrams :( ), and then last night saw 5&6 in Korean. I should really watch the whole thing in English, because I'm kinda confused. It's reminding me of Hana Yori Dango, though.

I love PSH too! She's sooo cute. But really, she lost a ton of weight since Heartstrings. I wonder if that's because she's trying to look like a teenager? It is pretty weird that 30 year olds are trying to play high schoolers. Bobin is love with the show, esp with LMH, and my host mom is watching it too, but she thinks its so funny because of the age difference. She makes the best commentary, calling LMH "old man, old man!" and saying how Park Yoochun is younger and so much more handsome, and then the two of them start an "argument" over who is the best looking that lasts until the next kiss or dramatic moment ^^

So really, I should start watching it ^^ But the sweaters LMH was wearing in the last couple episodes... :P I made the mistake of saying that out loud in front of Bobin, haha. And that pepto bismol pink lipstick that the /entire/ cast is wearing is kinda much.

Aww! You were scared? I figured you were just busy. I had quite a busy summer myself, but now things have evened out. For the first time since the beginning of high school, I can do whatever I want after 5 PM. It is the weirdest feeling, but all the drama~
The first month at school was crazy, but I think I'm as used to it as I'm gonna get. I'm working at a girl's HS (sorry, I can't remember how much I told you before), and it's not as scary as I thought. There are only 10 days left til The Sunung (the huge, important college entrance exam), so everyone is a little on edge right now, but midterms just finished so I'm relieved.
How is school? How is life? And I still wanna hear about Shenzhen sometime ^^

Ok ok ok! I just finished PtB, and the last episode was so cute! They pretty well convinced me of the couple pairings by the end. I like how Na Yun's character was kind of a twist on the evil woman stereotype and she got her guy and friends in the end. She might actually be my favorite character.

Ooh, I have yet to see a purple leaf around here, but now I want to! Maybe I can send you a pressed leaf, cause the ginko leaves are so pretty.

And PS, are you by any chance watching Heirs?

Oh yeah, I think that was when he was supposedly dating Keiko, I'm not really sure because I wasn't a fan back then. THE kiss scene episode is pretty much the best one. Erika gets a lot of pretty awesome characters!

I simultaneously love and hate sad movies. I have to take them in small doses, because it takes time for me to recover from them. I thought at first the movie might be scary when I heard the title, but my host sister said it was a comedy...but the comedy didn't last for long, lol.

Yeah, it took me more than 24 hours total traveling time, but it's not so bad if it's just once in awile.
