Yeah, after that cat fight in the company restaurant, it's not like I can argue Cousin is all that mature either.
There is a vast difference between being picky and germaphobic and actually having OCD or another mental disorder, though.
Yes, it is super cute~!! Their facial expressions are the best! And I like that the Grandma character isn't a horrible, evil person for once.

This is true...I think it has more to with the fact that Ji Heon is almost the exact same person as my former roommate. So even if I fell in love with a perosn like him, there's no way it could be a healthy (romantic) relationship. (and not just that /I/ couldn't get along with him, the way No Eun Seol relates to him is very familiar.)
This is pure wonderful, thank you! The most recent one it happened with was Sungkyunkwan 2 weeks ago..."Don't rewatch the drama." Ahaha, you don't know how close I was to that >.<
The urge to jump right into a new drama does kinda feel like the absence you feel right after a break up, but it's never a satisfying solution. I actually have a "rebound list" of mediocre dramas I started but put on hold to distract myself in such moments of weakness.

They keep changing exam dates? They can do that? That's no fair. I hope it gets easier!
That sounds like a really charming design! I'm partial to scenery. Oh my, that does not sound like a good way to finish a class, but at least you know now what to avoid later?
Good luck with exams! Ours are next week, so the kids are all stressed out and glazed over. I'm so glad I don't teach the third graders.

Oh, no problem! I think if you worked at an advanced school or at a hagwon, the situation could be quite different from mine.
Technically, teachers are socially more respected than they are in the US. It's a highly respected profession. But in the classroom, I'd say at least at my school the students are less respectful and well behaved than in an average American one. I think maybe that's because the expectations are different though, and also part of it is just because the methods of showing respect/disrespect are different too.
I think I'm starting to pick a few words out of conversations, but it's kinda slow going. I'm trying to get some vocab nailed down, and that should help if it ever happens. Good luck to you too!

Hi! (I'm replying over here so I don't completely hijack the comment section on your article) Thanks for writing to me! I haven't talked to anyone else who likes Bandage before, but it's such a good movie. I love the soundtrack <3
And Yamapi! Yes :D Do you have a favorite drama with him? Did you watch Summer Nude? Do you follow his music too? I would be all over a Tomapi bromance! They could do like a college version of Nobuta. And now that Jin's back they could do something together too!
And I see from your profile that you like Song Joong Ki? I just discovered him this month, but somehow he reminds me a lot of Pi. Or maybe they just amuse me in similar ways ^^
Sorry! I somehow never saw your post until today!
My computer did indeed get fixed in time for me to leave :) I've settled in here nicely. How are you these days?
Ooh, what's the design of the cross stitch you're working on? Yeah, my friends who did textiles in college never slept and subsisted on coffee, mainly, but the studio was always a fun place to hang out.

Agh! I know I already messaged you about it, but it was so good!
Actually though, I enjoyed 15 and 17 more.
I was worried for a minute they would kill someone off and I wouldn't have my gratuitous happy ending, but fortunately for me, they were nice.
I don't much care for icing either. Sweet cream is so much better.

Gah, I just finished episode 15! I have to go to bed, but I'm looking forward to 16, cause my host mom said that's where all the good stuff happens. I think I'm gonna be sad when this is over.

I haven't been here too long, but I love my job so far! The only thing I really have to compare it to is the short student teaching stint I did at an American co-ed middle school in a rural area, so the environments are completely different. The main thing that sticks out right now is that Korean students are very rowdy in comparison. The social structures dictate a very different atmosphere and hierarchy than I'm used to, and respecting a teacher doesn't translate to the same behaviors that it does back home.
It is a little difficult not knowing Korean, but my program required us to do a month long language intensive at our orientation, and I'm trying to study on my own. I can order food and buy train tickets and mail things, and for anything more difficult my host parents usually help me out. At school, I have a "co teacher" who is like my supervisor who speaks perfect English and also helps me navigate cultural stuff, so that's wonderful.
Most of the students I'm getting along with, although there is this one clique in this one class...but you have to realize that I'm coming in halfway through the school to replace a teacher they liked, and it wasn't all that long ago I was an angsty teen myself, so I'm trying not to take it personally.
I don't mind your questions at all! Sorry it took me so long to reply. Wow, law! You must be so smart. Or tenacious, or something. You could probably take on a room of 35 Korean girls hands down.

I studied abroad in Japan, and now I'm teaching in Korea. I'm trying to study Korean in my free time, though. What are you studying at uni?

Yeah, I hear you! Korea was the best deal for me, and also I wanted to explore Korea :) But I miss Japan so much! I'm thinking about moving there again, possibly, after working here for awhile.

Mm, sashimi was soooo good! You should be fine to eat raw fish, unless you're also allergic to fish. But I understand your hesitation completely!

Yeah, I love it here! I love my school, the other teachers, and my host family! It's my first time here though, so everything is really new for me.

When do you think you might come teach here?
