The acting in this is seriously not good. Not BAD..... but not good...

I don't really like watching romances as the focus anyway so I didn't mind. But I'm saying since the chemistry was so weak to begin with (in my opinion), I think the story would've been better if it was just about friendship/found family and the main romance was dropped altogether

I really enjoyed the acting and the comedy in this series, although I would have preferred if there was no romantic story line between Wang Wu and Wang Lu because for me, they looked and acted too similarly to have any chemistry. For me, Wang Wu had big sister energy the whole time, so I sort of just ignored the romance lol

As much as I respect this series for its place in propelling the popularity of BL in China, in retrospect it's weird to me that this was the series that was so popular that it partially led to the re-censorship of LGBT content. For one thing, even when I was watching this series back when it was airing, I did not think that the story was at all spectacular. It's low production and while the acting is not bad, the romance in this webdrama was completely nonsensical. Aside from the problematic stuff representation (which is a completely different topic, imo), the characters straight up did not even seem to like each other lol. Their relationship was baseless 🤷🏻‍♂️

I hope the english subtitles are made available for this movie soon. it looks so good!

that's so interesting. when i was watching it, the juices of the peach running down his hand looked like his un-shed tears to me. but i can also see how it would seem masturbatory. i think it could have been a mix of both grief and excitement. personally, it took me a second watch to realise that the gang rape must have taken place before the movie started because mitsuo's hair is still long before and after.
