A wild guess. The way he sort of dissapeared from the show after the break up, I think He Yuqiong did the deed and that's why the three of them are trying hard to cover it. Not sure if he is alive though because if he was, there's no way he didn't show up after Ren Xiaoming' mess got spilled all over media
Finished this show in two days. It's been a while since I got thoroughly entertained by a show. The bit about drying clothes using inner strength is unforgettable lmao
This has been a fun drama even though the family is super annoying. I hope they'll also show us how FL and ML handle their feelings/relationship in the real world after they finish the mission (I have a strong feeling that ML isn't an npc). I think it's a pity that the synopsis and trailers, even the title, have failed to clue the audience in on what the story is about, to the point that they are misleading. Watching the trailer, you'd think this is just your usual romcom in an ancient setting.
I think that with the Father locking their savings, the Mother decided that she had to take her son and live with…
RIGHT!!! At first, I thought the mother was the scary one between the two but seems like they are both freaks. Wang (and the mother?) falsifying the test result doesn't seem likely to me because I can't think of what drove them to do that since the paternity test took place before Youxi saw the nail, but yeah I agree that's also possible!
It really is so cruel that the father pulled out and collected Xiaoxu's nails omg. He totally got me because before last night and the previous ep, I thought he was a sweet old man!

I thought the same about Wenwen's disappearance! Wang is the most likely suspect as he has the motive, but whether the mom knew and was complicit or not remains a question even though the way she acted upon Wenwen (Chen Youxi)'s arrival gives an impression that she knew for sure that Wenwen can't come back.
I honestly didn't think it was intentional to play the video in front of a lot of people, but what you said makes sense. Wang was probably behind that, making sure to air out their secret. Also, totally agree with you on who might be the rapist! The cousin's body build doesn't seem to match. Personally, I'd suspect Wang too but I don't know, he seems too skinny to be the rapist.
The biggest question to me is whether Xiaoyu is really Wenwen and if she is Wenwen, why doesn't she have the mole?
What does anyone think about the ending of ep 5? I don't think everything that happened so far was only her hallucinations. Also, the paternity test confused me because how could she be Wenwen?
