confirmed main leads!!!!! judging by the looks only, they seem to fit the characters. I also saw a video of chen zheyuan doing archery today and he's perfect for chang geng :') I think song jiyang (if the rumors of him being in the cast is true) would make an amazing cao chunhua! not sure how they will handle the character but I'd be so sad to see them go, they're one of my faves ;_; filming started today so let's wait and see, after seeing the steampunk elements in the concept poster, I'm a little more hopefu.

my fav work from priest <3 the novel itself is heavily plot based so I'm not that concerned about the "cencored romance" tag (and let's be real they would never show the romance due to cp's nature being """"problematic"""") but I hope they can do both the story and the couple's dynamic justice (I still don't have my expectations high tho lol)
