I don't think so, he can't say that I will not do reporting for this story as my friends may get hurt. Right?…
I can understand your thoughts, but I also read that someone said it's better that Yijin cover the story first, because others may go further to cover the incident related to Yurim's dad, and it can make the situation worse for Yurim's family.
Okay I have another theory after the first one failed in Ep 14 lol. Yes I still have a faith in Baekdo end game.
- Heedo won a match in Olympics at Madrid (year 2001 age 21 & 25), Prague (year 2005 age 25 & 29), and San Fransisco (year 2009 age 29 & 33). - At the year 2001 and 2005, Yijin was still a reporter, so he could go to Olympics too with Heedo as a reporter and an athlete, and that's when they could be together in secret. I think these moments would become the sweetest and most memorable ones between the two. Probably it would be shown to us only as throwback scenes or there would be time skips, since it only has 2 remaining episodes. - At 2001 Olympics, their bond became stronger. And at 2005 Olympics they probably got married secretly and had Minchae in 1-2 years after. So it makes sense that Minchae's age is 15 by the year 2021. - At 2009 Yijin was not a reporter anymore, but a news anchor. That's why he couldn't accompany Heedo to San Fransisco Olympics and it made both of them look sad and longing for each other in the interview. Minchae was 3 years old when we heard her saying "Appa" during the interview. At this moment, their relationship remained secret from the public. And I think at the end of the day, the entire interview scene could be seen as comedy, instead of tragedy, because Baekdo were so dramatic there (I root for you since day one, etc), that it reminds me of Yijin's mother cringey chat with his father at the internet cafe. - Yijin's name in search engine could only be seen until the year 2009, while Heedo's name still appeared until the year 2020. Maybe after 2009, Yijin changed his name or his career. That's why Minchae didn't recognize him when she first read the diary, but later we could see that Minchae was rooting for their relationship because she realized that Baekdo is her parents (maybe when grandma pointed to Yijin's face at the photo) and she wanted to know how they ended up together.
I think Heedo will retire maybe after she gave birth to minchae I mean in the present time Heedo had a lot of…
I think the medals are Yurim's. Maybe she gave it to Heedo when she left Korea. The medals are the same colors in Ep1 when Minchae saw it in Heedo's room and in Ep3 in Yurim's room when she chat as Injeolmi. I want to screenshot but I can't, sorry.
But then again, it's just another theory. I should just have to wait and see, and enjoy the show lol.
I think 2521 is the age where they'll start a new life. It might be HD quit fencing and retired as an athlete, then focus on woodworking. And YJ hop on a new career. But in the end, they'll be together.
He’s a fencer like HD. They meet when she goes on a match trip.
There's Kim Jong Chan as one of YJ's brother's bully (YJ took off his name tag at burger shop). Doubt it has any connection with Kim Min Chae's father tho. ^^
