I have read that yes, you can still split dramas into multiple parts however, they have to have the parts aired with some time between them (I read comments such as 3 months? 6 months? (not too sure)) as when the ones that had split into 2 parts aired their second part quite fast it made it seem like they were ignoring the 40 eps thing
