Someone please tell me when will the ML recover his sense of taste? This been going on for wayy too long. Will he even recover?

What I loved so far (currently at ep 13): the main couple relationship progress naturally. They started on bad foot, turn to boss-employee, became friends, ML started being protective towards FL, all through out FL is still being a professional employee.
FL and ML have different financial status but they didn't write FL as a money hungry woman. I love that.
Now the downside : typical 40 eps drama, so many unnecessary filler plot and side characters. Theyre not interesting and not related to the main couple at all. Use your fast forward button generously.

Let's say I'm not interested in psychology and will just skip forward to watch romance, will I be disappointed? I don't mind they only kissed twice, but are they together a lot?

I've finished it. The ending is plain weird. I rated it 8.5 in the beginning but changed it to 7.0 after the ending. They had great idea with the story but the execution is poor. Like other comments said, so many wasted potential. I wish they delved more into ML background. The side plots are totally unnecessary, tho I appreciate it's somehow related to the main character. One of my pet peeve in cdramas is when the side plot has no connection to the main plot at all.

I'm half way through this. The stories involving side characters are quite hard to follow. I'm not sure if it's me that wasn't focused or the editing was choppy.

The ML story reminds me a lot of kdrama Goblin. He's an immortal trying to die, has a family that took care of him for generations. But I don't think they've explained why is he an immortal?

I like the main couple so far. They're so cute together, and know how to kiss!

If you're like me and do not enjoy military/history genre,, please still give this drama a chance! It's so good and romantic and funny. The story development is one of the best I've seen in cdrama. The characters are so well written, even the side characters. I'm the type to speed watch a drama, but I never once fast forwarded a scene in this.

Update: I started enjoying the show after ep 5 when ML found out FL's intention

I'm only at ep 3 but from the poster and synopsis I didn't expect the story goes like this. Can anyone let me know if it will get more light hearted? I'm not really a fan of mystery/suspense drama

Same here. I just started few hours ago but I'm already at ep 10 because of all the skipping. Other than the side couples story, their office and work issues are skippable too. I won't say this drama is bad, love the main couple so far, but so many unnecessary filler.

The first 4~5 episodes weren't bad but then they had a switch of plot where it felt like I'm watching an entirely different drama. I've finished ep 8, only 1 more episode to go but idk if I want to proceed. On the earlier episodes they portrayed FL as the typical foolish girl but towards the end I swear ML is the stupidest character I've seen. That SIL scene oh my god I don't want to spoil it so anyone going to watch this show will be as dumbfounded as me.

I can't agree with most reviews here. I found the show bland. It's a warm and short show like everyone said, but I dont think it's sweet or cute or romantic.

This drama isn't bad but it's a filler at best. I didn't feel anything while watching it

Update: I've forced myself to watch until ep 15 (on 2x speed and lots of fast forwarding) but I can't take this anymore. This is so terrible. There are soooo many side characters and subplots. The story is more fitting to be in high school setting than college setting. Don't watch this if you're expecting romance. The main leads barely have screentime together.

I feel like they actually intended to do disney/American style teen musical show like Victorious or High School Musical but the characters weren't written to fit that vibe. It's confusing.

This type of drama is my guilty pleasure. Its filled with cliche but it's done well. The antagonist is annoying by herself and doesn't really affect the relationship, that's something I really appreciate. There are no typical disapproving parents too. Though, by ep 20 I'm quite bored of it, I feel like the story keeps going in circle, but it wasn't really a stressful plot so it's alright.

So many steamy kiss and bed scenes in this. The plot is outdated but bearable if you watch it on 2x speed

Malaysian here. The hijabs wearer these days and 25 years ago aren't much different I believe. We have the choice to wear what we want. I haven't watch the drama yet, but the previous comment said even the non malay wear hijab in the drama, that's a really bad representation of the country. 30% of malaysian aren't malay, and not all malay wear hijab so normally we'd see all sort of people just co-exist.
Fun fact: the "Arab-isation" of malaysian muslim started in late 80s, before that most malay didn't cover their hair.

Update: I watched until ep 13 and find the story boring, I can't really see the chemistry between the leads too. So I decided to just watch the highlight videos on youtube. Most comments here are complaining about the second half of the series so I think it's not worth continuing.
