Overall, not a drama that I regret watching. Great chemistry, very lovely ending, my first time liking Kim hye yoon's drama & discovering Byeon woo seok. I prefer less time jumping (because it confused me a bit), and fewer taxi driver scenes lol, but that's the main conflict, so... it's ok. and love, love, love the OSTs.
I love the angst scene in ep 25, I couldn't help to rewatch it several times though I teared up every single time.…
oh I like this ep/scene too! I also like the scenes when AY's hair turned dark again after drinking the elixir(?) and when FY admitted to YQ that she was AY. I feel like Wang Anyu's acting was on point here.
In the early episodes, I was not sure if I could continue watching it, bc I was not used to the fantasy elements and the cartoonish(?) effects. I was not even convinced by the romance in the beginning. But once the story started to get angsty...oh well, I started to love it more. Overall, a pretty good introduction to xianxia for me! :D
Great drama. Good plot, acting, music, costumes, just a bit weird directing (?) sometimes lol. My favorite scene in the last couple of episodes was actually the conversation between fake and real Dingfei... so touching. The wedding episode was amazing, so beautiful, love love love it. And XW's son, I can relate, ZZ is my favorite too :D
This drama have many problems in it. If any person who can analyse then they will know. The camera movements are…
well.. I didn't say that the drama doesn't have flaws. My favorite dramas were actually the realistic ones like kdrama Misaeng, the slice-of-life ones like Go Ahead, the ones with great plots like kdrama Six Flying Dragons, but once in awhile I enjoyed drama outside of those criteria and I honestly enjoyed this one, despite all of its flaws :)
Overall, I enjoyed the drama, a light drama with some frustrating moments, but also lots of funny and sweet moments. Really love Bai Lu & Dylan Wang, and their chemistry too. I hope they act together in other dramas again in the future. Or can I get Bai Lu x Miles Wei? or Bai Lu x Zhou Keyu... XD
that scene!the way his face turned from sad/done with life to full of life/happy/in love was just PAINFUL but…
TRUE, it felt really painful.. T.T I was crying and laughing at the same time. From the preview, I thought that they would show the eating scene before the sad parts began. well now I realized the overall tone of both ep 16 and 17 was sad...
Somehow the funny scene of San eating Deok Im's food hit me harder than Deok Im's death. Remembering happy memories with someone who already left felt too painful... Overall, I really love this drama. It's not perfect (personally I found that in the earlier episodes, sometimes it was a bit too comedic(?) for me.. I also skipped some Princess Hwa Wan's scenes), but still this is a really great drama. Maybe because this was based on real history, it made me think about life and death. It was sad, but I think it was realistic.
Although they got together in the end of ep 15, my heart felt heavy... I didn't expect the drama to be this sad.. (and we haven't even started ep 16 & 17 yet, lol)
Every week I was tempted to drop this drama (because I couldn't handle (possible) sad ending), but then after watching each episode I always changed my mind... I really love this drama
