only 9.4 % from total watchers marked this as completed series , That's why there is no fluctuation in rating....😡
the currently watched and completed are finally in sync at 8.68 and 8.7, respectively for WoL. These two should not be that far off, yet they were since I've been following it Nov. 25. when currently watched was 8.79 and completed was at a low 8.27. (unfavorable differential of -.52). I don't believe that the overall people who were enjoying the movie, then was disappointed with it when completed. So finally, the pattern makes more sense to me. Following the other movie, their patterns were always favorable in very aspect. Their currently watched is 8.71 but the completed is 9.02 (favorable differential of +0.31). Their pattern was consistently favorable by that much.
The verified/stars rating since it became unstuck at 8.14 has continued to change every day. It is now at 8.26. Both movies I'm following show a verified that is significantly lower than watching and completed so the lower rating is probably correct for whatever reason. But I just wonder since WoL was stuck at 8.14 for a while, if the 8.26 should be tad higher.
Another pattern that I was watching is making more sense starting this week, now that the movies are done releasing all the episodes, is the ratio of users to watchers. WoL ratio always made sense that the day to day changes I saw the change in # users were always less than the change in # of watchers. The other movie was consistently opposite pattern and significantly different. But starting this week, that other movie, the pattern is reversed so that the users are less than watchers, like WoL has been (I'm just talking about the daily changes. The overall pattern has been always fine).
Also, the total # of users to total # of watchers have increased from 10% to 17%, hopefully, it will continue to rise, and the ratings are impactful enough to raise the overall above 8.5.

in ep 30 where their faces are sunk into the muddy puddle, Xu Kai said the horses were nearby peeing. I think he said the pee may have mixed into the puddles. In the wet scenes, he was soaked all the way through his clothes as long as it took to shoot the scenes.

the scene where Li Ni on his horse turned around to propose to Ying, it was Xu Kai who did not follow script that said just say I will marry you then leave. Xu Kai put his own interpretation of the lovestruck and emotional Li Ni to cry out at least 3 times that he wants to marry her. I watched bts and the horse was being difficult, yet Xu Kai wanted it to be passionate and emotional because that is the way he sees Li Ni. In the bts, I could hear Xu Kai real voice too and it was pretty good.
This drama really change my opinion about Xu Kai. I didnt expect that he could pull general character. His aura…
I have to read English subtitles so then I can't watch the actors faces, then I have to rewind again, that's how I discovered Xu Kai expressions are subtle and on point. In the scene, where it starts out with him staring intently at her and she is sitting across from him, and still mad at him, the camera focused on his stare for several seconds as soon as the scene came on, and I felt I knew what was running through LI Ni's mind as they sat there. What struck me was the expression was concerning yet charming too, at least to me. His expression can reveal the depths of the characters heart, mind, and soul, allowing viewer to perceive the emotions the character is experiencing. I realized beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so not everyone may be moved by it.
Although I felt LCF was the weakest link of the drama -- cause somewhere between the script, directing, and acting,…
people's opinions of Gao Han's acting are valid. I reacted similarly but he is a mad man after all, and I can see the madness in his expression. He did okay. If he did really great, LCF would have been everyone favorite villain instead of everyone hates this villain. I think his acting is a bit forced. I watch him and I think he's trying hard to be eerie like, instead of drawing me into his madness.
I don't like the main actor, Xu Kai. He always failed to show his emotions, his face looked flat without soul..…
There was once a powerful woman, Wu Zetian, the only female emperor of China.
Ying's father said that her daughter is better than a thousand men. She was raised to command an army. She was raised as a son but being female, she has to work harder and suffer the pains of physical injuries privately. She is her father (great General Cui) 's daughter, like it or not, that is who she is, but she is not evil.
I think in some ancient drama like this without even a doubt you would have known it would have a happy ending,…
I felt the same way, after initial scenes, I knew this movie is supposed to be a feel-good movie and I won't take things too seriously, and just enjoy it. If someone pulls a teapot out of their sleeves at any moment, so be it.
I saw an interview and the producer said the Wonderland scene where they are walking, sitting, and laying was…
well it shows how ignorant I am. I thought it is so pretty. I guess people who have more technical knowledge or expectations will not enjoy as much since it is not real enough?
your definition of porn is all encompassing and broad from implied sex to explicit sex, and therefore baseless…
interesting how people rate a movie. So if I don't like martial arts, I can say Bruce Li movies are stupid because all they do is fight. But the aim of the movie is the martial arts.
There is also plenty of humor. I also find LI Ni father and two brothers' characters are a comedy act, and the…
am I the only one who likes their acting? The moment the two brothers came on the scene, their expressions are so good. so funny. like comedy yet not comedy.
Did you check the tags when watching this drama. No you will not find a damsel in distress, or a weak-will girl…
SOKP is not available to me to watch since I don't have membership. From sampling trailers and clips but no understanding of the story, I sense the fl in SOKP is very strong character. She looks mean especially when she lashes out at him. She seems cold and aggressive. In contrast, WoL the fl is strong too, but she is also kindhearted and has a soft and feminine side to her. She is strong on the inside too since she can keep love on the sideline while focus on her goals. But she also has a human side to her, she loves her father and brother so much, we see she can grief and become overwhelmed with emotions... this means she has a heart. SOKP seems like a dark movie so everything has to be hard and cold but WoL is a light-hearted loving movie so the characters can be strong yet soft too. You really cannot say I like this female lead better than the other because the two movies have different aim. In my mind, it makes no sense to compare them.
Def JTL, I started WoL long way back & despite initial liking I stucked at ep 26 or so coz the FL has become one…
As Li Ni said to Ying, You are your father's daughter... Like father, like daughter. This is who she is. Her goal is to save her people so they can have a good life. Those are not easy goals. It is fair people can judge her for who she is. As long as she's not evil, and even good people in history have to kill. I am still on episode 22 but I've seen so many examples of selfless actions between them when they are not deep in conflicts with each other.
I just have a question and I’m kind of confused. Maybe it’ll be explained later or I missed something I’m…
Sun Jing is called the commander-in-chief because he rebelled against the throne by slaughtering the entire royal family except the late crown prince son is still in hiding, and LI Ni and his father and brothers did not live at the capital at the time of the uprising, besieged the western capital and from there, he has become a tyrant, controlling the country with his military power. He has no succession rights to the throne under the current dynasty. He wants to find the late crown prince young eight-year-old son, who is the rightful heir, make him emperor, use him as a puppet. Then, later he can kill the kid, and the rest of the royal bloodline (Li Ni, Li Ni father and two brothers), and usher in a new dynasty under his bloodline. He loves the Crown Princess because they are former lovers and intends to keep her by his side. The Crown Princess is the biological mother of the rightful heir. Li Ni father has right to the throne if the court approves it, giving succession rights to Li Ni and his brothers. Li Ni father is stupid person who has no common sense. Since he lacks intelligence, he depends on others and is easily manipulated by them but is not a evil doer, just a misguided fool. The ambitious female lead has always been steadfast in her goal to give the people a good ruler, even if it means she has to resort to ruthless means and rule the country herself. She never wavers from her values, putting it before love and her own life. Li Ni, a man with no ambitions, shares her goal but is an utmost upright man who wants to do right by the crown princess and her son to restore the rightful heir to the throne when he is of age to rule, in meantime, even though Li Ni's father is emperor, allow the young boy to continue to be the crown prince, so the royal bloodline continues through the young boy. They both love each other but neither will waver from their values and conflicts test if their love can be sustained. It will ultimately tear them apart, but in the end, "love conquers all".
I just watched full episode 22. Watching LCF go off the deep end reminded me of the 1987 American film, Fatal Attraction, a psychological thriller about a married man who has an affair with a woman who refused to allow it to end and became obsessed with him. It was the highest grossing film of 1987 worldwide at $320M. The character was made to be Erotomania, aka de Clerambault Syndrome, a delusional disorder, is a relatively uncommon paranoid condition that is characterized by an individual's delusions of another person being infatuated with them. The onset is sudden, and the course is chronic. Erotomania is more common in women but may be more dangerous among men due to the increased risk of violent and stalker-like behaviors. The core symptom of erotomania is that the individual holds an unshakable belief that another person is secretly in love with them. Most commonly, the individual has delusions of being loved by an unattainable person.
Even though Gao Han's acting seems unnatural and forced, but he did pull off eerie expressions of a delusional man. What madman would not have unnatural expressions, so in that regard, I think he did okay. Actually, this villain role of the delusional LCF is a fascinating and complex character, had a lot of screen time, and would have been a really great opportunity for any actor, if done really well, would have garnered a lot of praises.
Yes, another site which is biased towards Xukai is AvenueX. Even how good is XK she never praised him it is very…
wow.. even me, I'm totally new to this and I found AvenueX so I looked up her reviews and instantly it was obvious to me this lady has a personal thing against Xu Kai.
Their pattern was consistently favorable by that much.

" ... he cried beautifully, and tears would drip like pearls."
Who can cry and still maintain the handsomeness?
