Hmm... this one is a bit odd, and not exactly in a good way. It's definitely not boring, but there are many potential…
Agree 100% The show can be really good or really bad. I also don't like how Dahee is taking advantage of a 13 year old. Gwijoo needs therapy, and so does Ina. The show needs to address the characters' issues properly for it to be good.
So far, there is only one long-form drama I've enjoyed: By My Dream Family. My last long-form drama, Live Your Own Life, was disappointing, but this looks promising. I LOVE stories with adoption and sisters learning how to get along with each other. Fingers crossed this is a good show.
I am absolutely loving this so far. I started off loving Hyunwoo and disliking Haein, but shoutout to the writers for making Haein a big ol' softie beneath the icy exterior. Every week, I respect her more and more. The pin lock number on her phone just wrecked me!
March 9 can't come fast enough. I'm so excited for this. I have a feeling this is going to be good. I just hope the writers make both characters likable and relatable. I hope both can be sympathetic.
Personally, I am enjoying LYOL more thatn MOO. I found MOO too messy...
The crime is serious (a couple is intentionally killed in a car accident so that the murderers can take over the couple's company), but the show itself isn't dark or focused on the crime. It's about messy families. Taeho's family is fighting to take over the company, and Hyoshim's family is dysfunctional with the mom expecting her adult children to cater to her needs. The show is about the characters learning to create healthy family relationships. It's not a dark or heavy show, but you will need patience to tolerate some of the characters' awful behavior.
I don't think TH dad mistreated his nephew/biological son TM, which scene/EP are you referring to? I might have…
We learn in earlier episodes that TM wanted to go to art school, but he was forced to go into the family business. In TM's flashbacks, I got the impression that TH's dad, who was the manager, was demanding of TM.
