The people complaining about the last episode should just stick to kids shows. Life for sexual minorities has always been complicated. Shows like this highlight how queer kids discovering themselves in hostile countries is extremely difficult and not like their dominant straight counterparts. You'd think "adults" would understand that...

Also, back when I watched this I didn’t interpret that scene in the last episode as SA. I can see how people may think it fits into that box but given the context of that whole scene, I’m pretty sure they were having angry sex.
Anyone who’s ever been in an argument with their partner knows that when you are so mad, if your partner tries to touch you or comes near you, you are not having it. You might even throw hands. Z was angry that Chen Yi didn’t tell him he was leaving and that’s what he was reacting against. Not Chen Yi’s advances. Usually that intense fighting turns into makeup sex because there is a fine line between anger and lust. I’ve seen a few scenes in bls that I would consider straight up SA. *cough* *couch* Love Mechanics (even though they showed the guy as being ‘ok’ with it afterwards. I still didn’t think it was ok).
I am in no way trying to excuse SA and think that consent is an important part of any relationship. I also think that implicit consent is also a part of relationships. It’s built on trust, really knowing your partner and having a level of comfortability with them.
Honestly, this drama caught my interest while it was on air and I loved the bromance scenes then but now I've begun to binge-watch it and it's utterly disappointing we are not all historians or aware of the confusing history of china so why make things hard for the audience a lot of deceit and betrayal for what and no actual true friend can endanger the life of the other for anything not even loyalty
I suggest that if anyone warrants the comment "don't know what you're talking about", it's you. US / Western European…
No, I'm not "suggesting" it, I'm saying it. No city I'm aware of is "overrun with zombie drug users". Yes, there are serious issues with excessive drug use in many places, and probably more so in the West because of things like culture and disposable income, but the term 'overrun' suggests vast, uncontrollable numbers, as in 'the kitchen was overrun by cockroaches'. But whilst absolute numbers are high, in percentage terms no way could it be construed as 'overrun' by anyone rational. And of that number of drug users, most are not zombies, or even addicts, just like not all drinkers of alcohol are alcoholics.
It's NOT the job of prosecutors to demand harsh penalties. It's their job to seek penalties they feel are appropriate for the crime committed. That's why I'm appalled ... that they would think a four-year sentence appropriate for someone having done something that has effectively harmed no-one but themselves. That's not being 'naive', it's being compassionate.
And most of the commenters here are concerned not just with the inappropriateness of the sentence demanded, but with the disparity between what is being asked for this crime, and for what has historically been handed down for crimes which most people would consider far more serious.
1. SERIES A very good collection of four stories, real, from real life, which pointed out the relatively large intolerance of Chinese society towards sexual minorities. I was most interested in the fact that at that time Chinese censorship was not yet so strict, and furthermore, that the creators managed to choose the most appropriate and especially likable types of boys and men, really enjoyable to watch. 1. US AGAINST THE WORLD - what was endearing about this sad story of intolerance was that one of the two boys was unafraid and defended the weaker one 2. BEIJING BEIJING - a boarded-up family breaks the bond between the two young men. Are you meeting again after three years? 3. THE WITNESS - two men with gym figures celebrate their third anniversary of living together, the mother of one of them pushes for her only son to marry and start a family, while the other of them sacrifices their relationship in order to "preserve" the traditions of the society. This gave me wisdom once: LOVE IS NOT AN OBLIGATION? 4. THE PROMISED CITY - two grown men struggle in the new city they moved to, not only with unemployment, but also with infidelity in their mutual relationship?

Yeah, actors are about 7-8 years too old for high schoolers. The MC is a good actor and plays the reluctant fighter well, but there were way too many dorky things going on, like students walking down school hallways swinging baseball bats and wood planks and no teachers or administrators say "hmmm...we might have a situation here. " No students ever get suspended or expelled, despite repeated violent clashes. Despite repeated violent clashes with baseball bats, no one loses a tooth, gets a severe concussion, loses an eye, it's all good. Best student in the class gets put in the hospital by bullies, teacher just says "X was hit by kids yesterday, go see him in hospital," lol No biggie.
Though the cliche of tough guys and their bitches smoking cigs all the time to show that they're rebellious and street-savvy was over-played as usual, at least everyone smoked like they knew what they were doing and had been doing it a long time. Often, you can tell the actors have never touched a cig in their life until that scene was shot. lol
criminally low amount of watchers for this masterpiece. it could and should definitely replace a couple of dramas currently on the top 20 chinese dramas on MDL right now.
All that pants-wetting and sweaty armpits over...that? I'm not saying an individual's experience of trauma is…
"I have never been so disappointed at a child not being mauled by a rabid animal." just what the fook have I read here? Are you human at all? Even if it's just a fiction how can you write this? The reality is that there are huge numbers of people mortally afraid of dogs (and I mean that in the clinical sense as in having a panic attack if one approaches them) just because they met a wild barking cur as a child. And for Uno the real trauma is the disappointment that a dog he trusted as his only friend turned on him (and if you were human you would understand that this trauma followed his father leaving them and his mother dying when he was still just a little kid). If you can not grasp this concept you truly are in the wrong place because this series here is for those who have at least a modicum of empathy. As for the dog café, there was no time when it was shown during opening hours. It was either before opening or after closing. It is rather unusual to see customers around a café before and after hours, one would think.

When I heard about his passing yesterday I was stunned, I do not know much about him or his situation, all I do know is that a healthy 33 year old should not go into cardiac arrest. The very idea of him dying because of drug use is a slight possibility , where there is a will there is a way, but drugs in Korea is like guns in Australia, almost zero to none. I am not saying there isn't any, just saying the probability of it is 80% less than N America imo.
Sad really sad, The death bell has been tolling for 2 years now, louder in certain countries, but these past few months that bell has not stopped.
My deepest sympathies to his family,, may they find comfort knowing that the world he left will not be the same without him

Won't be watching "Bullies 2," lol.
Deleted ending scene, gives a preview to the second season we will probably never see
