this began quite well and promised positive development then after half way and the focus on the divorce settlement…
I disagree. If you watch the prequel, it gives a bit more character background of Nagisa, his realization that he is gay, his trauma associated with coming out, his trying to date girls to be “normal” and the beginning of the relationship with Shun. In this movie, we start out seeing that they are still together, but break up, and we learn that Nagisa tried to be a pro surfer but failed. He met his wife, got her pregnant and decided to marry her, thinking he could live the stereotypical “normal” life. We don’t know how that occurred; maybe he was drunk, maybe he was horny and she was there. Unfortunately the gay lifestyle is still not accepted by everyone. Although it’s tolerated in the west, there are many countries where it is not and I believe Asian countries are on that list, no matter how progressive they might be. Nagisa admits that he couldn’t be faithful because he is gay, had liaisons with many men, then he realizes that it’s not that he’s looking for men in general, but just one man - Shun. That’s why he shows up on his doorstep. As far as the wife goes and the divorce proceedings, I think you have to get into the wife’s mind first. She’s a woman who has found out her husband has been cheating on her — with men. Being cheated on with women is one thing, but this is something else. She is bitter and she is not thinking what’s best for Sora, she doesn’t want Nagisa — who has cheated on her with men — to “win.” The wife is totally out of her element, as she has been the breadwinner, not the stay at home parent. But she wants to hurt Nagisa because he hurt her, albeit unintentionally, because he was just being true to himself. He went about it the wrong way; he should have told her he was gay from the beginning. Anyway, Nagisa starts out wanting custody of Sora because he has cared for her and believes he is the best parent. But as the preceding starts to be a mud-slinging contest, he doesn’t want his wife to be torn apart; he would rather give up custody. I don’t believe he was selfish; he says he was, but I don’t see it that way. He was the best parent in this situation and I think he was selfless in giving up custody. At least we see in the end that they seem to learn to get along for Sora.
I definitely prefer this version over the original cut! There are enough added scenes and shots to give the characters even more emotional depth and imo added some needed quiet moments into the story. Shuyi and Shide were given a few more moments where they talked about the years they were apart and Shuyi was shown confronting his father more, and I think that added depth helped balance their relatively quick get-back-together. The additions were small but impactful and from here out I will definitely rec this version of season 2 over the original cut of season 2.
This is so REALISTIC series. It was actually a story with many elements. It was not at all lovey-dovey, all enthusiasm, happy characters, nope. It had all the seriousness when it comes to working in industry though it be a literature industry. There were so many factors and sides were shown of Industry ; good and bad. So many sides of people were shown. So many sides of self was shown. The acting was all fine n good, not at all overly done. There were many characters and all did there roles profoundly, whether it be a small role or bad role. It had happy and sweet scenes which does not seemed forced. All in place.so good it was. So real it was . Well portrayed. I loved all the characters. Ahhhh this was so good. A new try and good try of Korean BLS.
the styling of this drama looks so ugly 😭 i’m not usually picky about visuals but SHEESH. why is everybody styled like they are about to star in charlie and the chocolate factory
they have to put in female characters to satisfy the censor I think
But they had a female cop who was quite likeable. Personally I don't understand why they had to include Su Ying since Liao Shuang was such a nice female cop. I really liked her and she could have gotten more screentime in my opinion. I had the impression they included Su Ying to have some kind of counterpart, someone who doubts Wenjie and creates obstacles for the father son relationship between Wenjie and Captain Luo. I think Wenjie would have been much more honest with Captain Luo if Su Ying didn't appear. Due to her Captain Luo acted a little but too emotional towards Wenjie, which caused Wenjie to go in defensive mode. But maybe the really just added more female characters to satisfy the censor or some quote.

amazing it packs so much story and feeling in small frame very sensitive treatment but、 I am unclear at ending…
I'm also unsure as to what happened to Min Ha. I believe that he has either transferred to another school or he has killed himself. As much as I wish the latter would prove to be wrong, Min Ha's suicide is plausible given his current state of mind. The fresh scars he bears on his wrist and his vision of life seem to reinforce that possibility. In addition, Sang Bum's strong emotional reaction to Min Ha's uniform — at the end — undermine the possibility of Min Ha's transfer. His outburst of tears seem to imply that he will never be able to see Min Ha again. I wanted to answer your question but I ended up giving you my take on this short-film's open ending. I hope you don't mind :(
Waste of time pretty much. Had to skip the last 3 episodes because it was basically the same thing as in the beginning. the plot did repeat itself from episode one to end every two to three episodes: good guys make a plan to save hotel, bad guys pull "trap hole" card that is plot armor "somebody is somebodys missing relative (lets hide it and make a big drama), ML whimp can't do shit because I DON'T EVEN KNOW WTF! ML was portrayed as the ultimate hotelier with badass background but in the end, every time, he is just a whimpy punching bag... daaaaamn this was so disappointing...
And Lee Dong Wook, ( •⍘•) <--- that right there is the only expression he does for 30h, any other expression looks really unnatural... Big uff
This is the best medical drama I have seen and was a cut above the rest by a long way Having worked, and still working in a hospital setting all my life, this was by far the most realistic. The drama focussed on the human angles between doctors, nurses, patients and their families, especially when facing challenging circumstances. These were common medical problems seen in a busy general hospital with fully equipped emergency services. There were no miracles,, no fantastic operations out of this world. The doctors just had to do their best to save the patients. Each episode would have a heart touching situation which could make one cry. The doctors were humane and with integrity. The directors must have studied the characters of real specialists well.before. They were so well acted. A brainy cardothoracic surgeon, a cheerful general surgeon, a quiet highly skilled neurosurgeon, an introvert O&G specialist and lastly a quietly spoken paediatric surgeon who lighted up when he saw his patients The demand on the doctors, their exhaustion, their worry for their patients were well shown. The atmosphere was lightened by the excellent soundtrack and the romances the doctors experienced in between their hectic schedules. The ost was fantastic and the songs were placed carefully between scenes with maximum impact. As there were five doctors with their complementof families and friends, it took a couple of episodes to get going. Very memorable drama
Such a nice drama. Seriously, worth watching. Their acting was too good. And if people are wondering, there's not so much romance, not even bromance. The murder stories are really good and interesting. And the police male lead is really funny.
Finished it yesterday ,, it's an adult drama for sure ,, there are a lot of adult content in it not extreme but it's there ,, also it was draggy sometimes ,, too many flashbacks too many shaky camera work the directing wasn't good Bromance was one sided from the detective ,, he cared a lot about the young genius but the young genius is in his own world The criminal cases were good but too long to solve Over all it's interesting drama for the people who like the thriller and crime fighting genera but not get your expectation high the ending was a not completely resolved ,, did they kill the detective ,, didn't they ? but season two they didn't kill him and no word about it
Why does China even try to make BLs at this point...?
Well, this was four years ago and was a very low budget attempt, but since we only have the option to turn BL novels into bromance, I think we've been doing a pretty damned good job of conveying BL love despite not being able to show physical affection since Addicted. See: Men With Sword, Love Is More Than a Word, Till Death Tear Us Apart, Guardian, The Untamed, Winter Begonia, and Word of Honor. We do what we can with what we have.
In short: gay people still exist in China. That's why we still try to make BLs.

the directing wasn't good
Bromance was one sided from the detective ,, he cared a lot about the young genius but the young genius is in his own world
The criminal cases were good but too long to solve
Over all it's interesting drama for the people who like the thriller and crime fighting genera but not get your expectation high
the ending was a not completely resolved ,, did they kill the detective ,, didn't they ?
but season two they didn't kill him and no word about it
