Watched this cause BL Unity Cafe had it on their site. Most definitely NOT BL, and not a Bromance either. Believe…
BL Unity Cafe, and so many others, are horrible at labeling things properly. They don't seem to understand that BL = Boy Love = Gay Romance. I hate it when they say something is BL, so I watch it and then get disappointed that I just wasted my time lol. I felt that way with Part Time, I felt that way with Slamdance (which was still good but completely kicked the BL to the side in favor of the other non-interesting couples)

Labeling things as BL when they are not is clickbait and dishonest so I understand the frustration. Rules I use when it comes to BL; First -- I confirm its BL (look up romance scenes/pics on google) Second -- I make sure it wasn't made in China (I want romance, not bromance, happy endings, not sad) Third -- I read reviews about its plot/ending without reading spoilers (mainly to make sure its a feel-good movie at the end).

Hi. Just from your comments it seems that this story is not going well. I will start watching this in a few weeks because of the main actor. I wish they would have left it as a BL Drama as planned, but with the restrictions in China on BL relationships and in dramas, it was cancelled. Thank you so much for responses.

UGH. There ought to be a ban on drama descriptions that provide the ending. Really.
And the first review ought to be removed because it needs spoiler/blocks.
My Drama List shouldn't be My Spoiler List.

manga is the real deal - anime follows closely.
the 2012 Akira GTO follows closer to the manga sensibility, but Sorimachi Takashi was a better Onizuka imo

I've watched the anime but I still enjoyed this movie a lot. I liked the characters. I don't get why people says there's no plot or the editing is messed up... I mean, if you don't compare with the anime or manga, there is still a storyline. The movie follows Hachiken in this farming environment he knows nothing about. And I thought he had some character development but yes, it wasn't as noticeable as in the anime but still.
So I think, those who gave it a bad rating, or who didn't like it were those who kept comparing it to the anime/mange. I think one should be able to accept that an adaptation in a different medium would not be the same as the original !

This movie's totally fu*ked up :/ I watched it because I thought it'd be something like Crows Zero, but it's nothing like Crows.. This movie's about psychoes, there's so much brutality. Honestly I really don't think this movie's deep because there's too much artistry and too less essence, it's just too sick. If I wanted to watch brutal killing scenes I would've watched Saw or something :/ Too much weirdness, too less depth because seriously, the only meaning in this movie is that there are some seriously brain damaged kids out there that nobody cares about and give a damn about them and that maybe society should do something with this before they turn out to be serial killers. That kind of subject would be better if the kids weren't mentally sick and instead just troubled teenagers, but I guess there are freaks in this world it's just that watching a movie about them is not my cup of tea

one of the reasons i love this drama is because it brings out the message that everyone in this "understanding" society should know about. just because someone is a student doesn't mean they are not human. they experience they same feelings as any other, and they may go through struggling situations, even if the hardships aren't the same. And not all students are the same, for everyone grows up as a different pace, and maturity is different for each and everyone. It's not like all adults are mature either. However, that is why adults are there. They are there to help the students who have a hard time, to make them grow into a better person, to help them lead into a brighter future, even if it's not always successful.

Typical second lead who can't take a hint that the girl does not like him and thinks he owns her because he "deserves her more".

You shouln'd spoiler the movie. Its just a movie, if you don't like it that is completly fine, but you don't have to rage around.

Weird but the movie was okay.. mostly I hate it when Ryu Sang Wook kissed with the other guy.. Totally gay. it…
if you wouldn't like him just cuz he might be gay then you don't deserve to call your self a fan of his. Don't be so judgemental, your comment truly disgusts me...

I think he's not gay in real life, only for the movie, but if he's actually gay I don't see any reason for you to get frustrated, there's nothing wrong.
