The more I watch this drama, the stranger it gets. 😅
There are so many gaps in the storytelling, especially when it comes to the FL’s knowledge and intelligence.
How can someone from such a low social class read, have such extensive knowledge of the royal court, and understand the positions and backgrounds of all these important figures?
Early in the story, we’re told that she met scholars and nobles who had been exiled and learned from them. But that raises even more questions. Did all of them have the same level of knowledge? Did they really teach her everything they knew? And how much could she realistically learn, given her background and the limited educational opportunities available to someone of her status back then?
Even learning Chinese characters in that era couldn’t have been that simple, especially for someone from the lowest social class.
So many questions remain unanswered. 🤔
Honestly, even a princess might not have had all the knowledge and political insight that the FL seems to possess. So, where exactly did all that knowledge come from?
Am I the only one wondering about this, or did I miss something in the story?

“I know who you are now.”
They both know that those few words could become a disaster for them later.
If only the Empire were to discover who Xu Lan Xiang really is…
