Not a fan of that ending. I don’t mind with the truth being revealed and them having to serve some jail time. I think the truth needs to come out so they can actually start anew. But for Nan Ya to get wrongfully sentenced and spend 5 years in jail? That’s just not fair. Also why does Qingli get so much screen time at the end? I don’t understand. They should have focused more on Nan Ya and Zhou Lou actually reuniting in the end and leave Qingshui Town rather than wasting the minutes on Qingli. I could care less what happens to her tbh. My other complaint is Chen Ling. Is she trying to get back at Nan Ya for one last time by lying about that? That just pisses me off.
Why would Zhou Lou open an internet cafe too? That’s just dumb and unnecessary. It’s like proving ZL’s bright future is no longer there. Everyone was so concerned and invested about ZL’s future and the drama just had to show us how ZL did end up wasting his talents in the end? I am a bit pissed.
I heard novel ending is much better. Too bad it’s not translated in English. Even with this subpar ending, this show is still better than most of the cdramas out there. I prefer this mature romance rather than rich guy poor girl cutesy romcom. I’ve definitely outgrown that genre.
