The drama is so nice , I don't know why rating is low

But he is not a doctor though, nor he seems to be connected to imperial Physician like Cheng Lisu , most importantly why would He family take risk to tell their own much guarded secret to Xu Jingfu ? Like how can they be sure he will help them and not tell emperor 🤔

I am confused about how Xu Jingfu came to know about the siblings swap when nobody else in capital seems to know, like Xu Jingfu can't come across students of academy just like that ,nor he has son who studied in academy so suspicious point how? And exactly when ? Like it cannot be from childhood because HY joined military to run away from marriage from Song Tao so it was not planned beforehand , so may be after her military achievements , but after seeing her doing so well he somehow came to know she is girl so planned to use against Xiaos?
Like I really want them to clarify it.

One good thing that come out of these changes from novel in drama is - He Yan is not alone in pain when she heard about her seven friends , this time she have someone who understand her situation and her hurting heart.

Oh yes , it's one of the most awaited and if I say difficult series to adapt let's see how that works out , too much pressure on producers😄

I guess most of the time novels are superior , because dramas have a lot of factors they depend on , from casting to acting to cinematography, most of the time it's difficult to adapt as it is , but I guess both things have their own flavors, it's just that I still have not mastered the art to not compare them while watching😄 I am still not sure if I want some of my favourite books to get adapted in fear of getting them butchered😂

Both pros and cons of reading novel beforehand 😂 , I don't know for some dramas I had watched just drama and not read novel and those dramas are so good that I don't even feel the need to read novel after watching them , so I really don't know if I enjoyed them more because I have no comparisons or if they are really made that good😄

I completely agree , that's why I was thinking if I would have enjoyed drama much more if for not already read the novel , because I just can't help but make comparisons in mind while watching for the scenes I anticipated , but like for scenes which are new or I can't exactly remember I do enjoy them more like in epi 21. But personally Novel remains superior to me due to depth in characters and relationships , the subtle gestures and everything.

Hopefully Rundu arc will be followed completely , another iconic arc.

It was after Rundu arc as the whole class batch was together , that Yan He guy appeared in Rundu fight

Even with Chu Zhao , in drama he is living with his maternal uncle right , if I remember correctly in novel he was living with his actual father and had seen his mother in brothel since he was kid , his backstory did bring tears in my eyes when I was reading novel , although don't like him much . With brothel I also remember that scene after Rundu arc when XJ came to know that years before the guy in mask was actually girl and then he was suspicious, overall I loved that whole arc.

Rundu arc again had some iconic scene , her sword fight , actual leadership , and saving those girls from those disgusting men , her principles , her mindset coming across- I really hope it is not cancelled.

That was such an iconic scene and further how XJ had prepared similar spiked balls beforehand and we saw why they both were such capable generals , like those details make them who they were and now so much missing.
Will have to wait to see exact execution of scenes

I was waiting for those scenes so much , that's why little disappointed , may be I would have enjoyed more if hadn't read the novel before but now comparisons automatically revolve in my mind:(

Wait I just finished epi 19 and they changed the whole battle ?? The Jiyang city battle in novel is one of my favourite and actually so unique , the connected ships , the small boats , use of fire and so much more , it was one of the battle I was actually looking forward to as I have not come across any such water battle in any drama and they changed it to ground war:( I am actually disappointed on this thing , they are also missing the little incidences and scenes of novel which give depth to characters and relationship , which make us connect to them more and believe in their love more.

Same , it leaves such a disgusting feeling , and if it is what we are thinking then I don't know if I should continue , because I can't accept a Main character if he sexually harass someone or asks his men to do it
