They were on the verge of divorce anyway, even though Hyun Joo chose to save the marriage. However, I think she would be better off single than with Lim Geum, as in the original timeline. In Hyuk × Hyun Joo is my personal preference. I feel their energy matches too well.

Sun-jae is devastated and went back home alone. In the preview, we see Sol's mother asking Sun-jae about Sol's whereabouts. Sun-jae seems to have understood Sol's plan and called the detective. Then we see Sol near the cliff, looking scared, combined with Sun-jae's voice calling out to her. Then the screen shifts to 2023 with Sol's voice in the background suggesting that maybe she and Sun-jae shouldn't have met each other from the very beginning
