yep. the most annoying by far is the female lead, sakurai. seems to have just two settings: wooden and over-the-top. absolute garbage.
and you realise how brilliant jo jin woong really is after watching this. kitamura is ok, but for someone who's seen the original he falls wayyy off the mark.
i dunno, i've only seen two or three jdramas. and even though a lot of them don't have a default romantic angle to the plot, which is great, the pacing and acting somehow seem off. maybe it's japanese speech. korean seems to flow more naturally in terms of tone and cadence. then again, good anime don't seem to have the kind of shortcomings jdramas have. wonder whether it's just a live-action vs anime thing, or something to do with budgets and production values.
