They are different for me. Saint is not the same at all for example.
I said that about the side characters and not the main couple. They’re not robots, they’re human and their personalities are out to change and develope. People are shy at first but they change as they get more comfortable around the people they love.

Just like I have a different opinion, I didn’t disregard that you see it differently as long as you don’t try to change my view on it. Yet you’re here trying to use my own words to prove me wrong just to make me believe I’m wrong about everything I believe in.

You don’t believe in what I said in my post and you believe something else then good on you.

Let me have my own opinion and you have yours, don’t try to start arguments with people about their opinions.

You only choose to see from my comment what you want to see and act blind to all the other points I make, it’s ridiculous tbh.

I just made a harmless review and I don’t want to start an argument rn so go on with your day and let me be. I won’t reply again.

not every character needs to be the same, this is a spin off and not a complete series. in skam season 3, only the main couple from season 2 showed up in the first episode but that doesn’t make them otherwise. I even saw some side characters from Love by Chance show up here. When it comes to Love Sick, it was done along time ago so only the main couplr are remembered. Do you collect memories of the side couples from Love Sick back then? I’m sure that in season 3 of Love Sick, those secondary couples won’t show up again.

Love by Chance was going to have a second season until the author of the novel filed a law suit because she wasn’t asked for permission, the couple in that series was loved and that’s why they will show up again even by different names, that’s why I feel that they’ll also show up in Love Sick season 3, but if they don’t then oh well.

You can think it’s different if you want, I will still see it and believe it the way I view it.

Yeah I understand what you're saying but just wanted to let you know that censoring a novel based drama isn't really the fault of the directors/producers, they just wanted to protect themselves from the government of china. Sorry if I sounded like I'm personally attacking you. But I still recommend that you give the novel a try, its translated on wattpad and you get more than just a love declaration there. You won't feel lost reading it because you'll remember some scenes seen in the drama as you read.
It's just a suggestion, you don't have to read it, here it is if you want https://www.wattpad.com/story/81940089-advance-bravely-shi-bu-ke-dang-%E5%8A%BF%E4%B8%8D%E5%8F%AF%E6%8C%A1

Also I noticed you're watching Theory of love, its novel can also be found on wattpad translated, even though the translation for Advance Bravely was better.

Fake China hates us gay people so naturally most of their BLs suck, are fake bromance bs like this one, or have…
This story is not just a bromance, its based on a novel which is a story of a homosexual couple and it has an amazing plot. But because of the ban from china, they couldn't show many elements and scenes that happened in the drama, as I read the novel I realized that many parts were missing. This is also to protect the actors because the previous actors from Addicted Heroin which was based on a novel by the same writer as this one, that drama got banned and they couldn't release a season 2 so even the main lead actors of that drama have been banned until this day from interacting with each other or appearing in the same projects together.

Since China will always ban gay dramas who could of had a great potential, I think that basing the dramas on actual gay novels and editing parts out to make it look like a bromance would give some people a wrong impression of the novels and make them lose out a lot on the actual story, so they should release dramas based on novels in Taiwan since it accepts lgbt.

But also I'm glad that many dramas were based on gay Chinese novels because this helps raise the awareness to the novels and finally people would translate the novels for all fans to read. The translation of the novel Advance Bravely is on wattpad if you want to have the full experience of this story and you won't regret it, as you read the novel, you will remember parts you saw in the drama followed a lot of parts that were missing. Actually this drama not only did it leave out many parts of the story but also didn't even finish the whole story.

Even if a drama doesn't show all the parts of the actual novel but love between two people is still love, kisses/intimate scenes aren't needed for it to be a romance. But when it comes to BL, people need to see kisses and sex scenes between the actors to agree that its a good BL, and call a gay drama that lacks kisses/sex scenes as "bromance." There are many popular heterosexual dramas that didn't even have a single kiss scene but everyone still agreed that it was romance and a love story between the main leads, why? I understand your point about China but a gay drama doesn't need to have skinship or erotic scenes for it to be a BL, just like every other heterosexual Asian drama. The only time heterosexual relationships may have erotic scenes are in movies because its age restricted.

I really can't understand people. It's a drama, but everyone expects to see porn. If things like that don't even show in heterosexual Asian dramas then I don't see the reason people require gay dramas to do so.

I've always been a fan of the HISTORY series ever since it started and I'm glad I kept following it because it keeps getting even better in each season. I'm so impressed by this drama, it had an unpredictable and new plot, turns and twists, and led my curiosity throughout the whole drama and nothing felt missing. It's not just a "BL" its a great story, a great drama with an amazing plot and acting. I always watch Thai BL series because they have plenty of them each year and they never get banned but 95% of Thai BL is always puppy school love, the same thing with slight differences. The reason I prefer Chinese/Taiwanese dramas even though they usually get banned or change the ending to a sad ending, but Chinese/Taiwanese dramas always have new and refreshing plots, not just some school love. I have to admit that this drama has been the best so far of every other gay drama I've watched, and I have even more faith now that more dramas by CHOCO TV will have good production and story like this one.

Why should I even feel surprised.. much better dramas get a very low rating while this draggy/predictable/cheesy drama gets overrated just bc the main lead is an idol, an EXO member on top of that. I'm a fan of EXO but doesn't mean that its right to be biased just because the lead is an idol. I forced myself to finish it.

I don't think this drama has a sad ending, it simply wasn't completed and it obviously says above "season 1." There is no chance that it will be completed though so I'm going to continue it by reading the novel which obviously ends with a happy ending.

That's not an opinion but a false statement that needed to be corrected. Well if you like to be right all the time and don't like to be proved wrong then..... its on you for being so sensitive.

GUYS I BLAME MYSELF FOR THIS FOR I KEPT TELLING MYSELF TO STOP EXPECTING A GOOD/HAPPY ENDING FROM CHINESE BL DRAMAS.......
The drama had too much censorship but the actual story is as good as addicted heroin and they are both written by chai chidan. The translated novel on wattpad shows all the scenes that were in the drama combined with a lot of mature content and even more things behind the scenes. Don't judge a good drama based on the censorship alone and try the novel.

okay, so I'm still not over the ending for this and went and watched the last three eps again. Still sucks. Still…
The ending shows that Xia Yao realized that Yuan Zong was the person who pretended to be a girl in the first episode. They may not have had much intimate scenes in the drama and that's because of china to avoid being banned like addicted heroin. If a gay drama is only BL in your eyes if they actually kiss, sleep together and do mature activities together then watch the novel, its on wattpad and its full of those hot scenes. Obviously the drama didn't some everything up at all, but while reading the novel then you can actually remember some scenes that happened in the drama but also actually know all the extra stuff that were missing which is a lot.

I don't think you would be requiring that for a heterosexual drama so why is it required for a homosexual drama? Go watch some yaoi then.

If you don't like a drama, that's on you. I can't force you to like a drama that you don't like.
But don't tell other people not to watch it just because you didn't like it. Just because it gave you a certain impression, don't assume that others will have the same impression. Just write your review of the drama/plot, and don't go around commenting to others "don't watch it! you should watch etc and etc instead!"
Replying to Arihant D Jun 16, 2019
It does..but honestly you're better off watching something else..
Don't stop yourself from watching a good drama just because others don't like it. Who are they to tell you what to watch and what to not watch? You should make the judgements yourself after giving the drama a try.

Title The Crowned Clown Spoiler
Even though I don't think the real king was all that bad compared to other king characters in other dramas, he just got wasted by drugs and should have gotten some help but ended up being betrayed by the secretary he trusted the most, then everyone else keeps saying that the secretary is the best and should be given the main role.

So basically people choose who to like or dislike, if they choose to like someone then they will forget about all the bad things they did. Even though the king wasn't all that bad but they made him into someone evil. Honestly I wouldn't want the queen to get pregnant from the real king for two reasons:
1. the kid will grow up with a dysfunctional family or even live with just one parent.
2. I feel bad for the king because he didn't get the chance to be loved or helped, and he would technically have helped give birth to a child with a woman who didn't love him and loved someone else while being married to him.

I grew up with a dysfunctional family and got betrayed a lot even by my own family, so I feel bad for the king and sympathize since he wasn't given any chances or help.
