So here is my theory
I think the students participating in this game aren't real people like if we go back to ep1 we can see jung won coding a game so she probably is involved with the ghost (park se eun) as in the description of the drama its given that she is an outcast and loner so probably she is with the ghost to take revenge so she starts this game and the people participating are all probably clone of their real selves. We saw a bus in ep1 which is identical to the student bus and is hidden in the bushes so mostly the actual real students are in that bus passed out or fallen asleep and as soon as jung won starts the game the clones were sent to play the game, now why they are clones is because I don't think park se eun is that bad kind of a person who will let so many people die including the innocent ones so she probably created this whole game thing to see them being horrified and begging to stay alive as she was once bullied so now she is bullying everyone, she wants to see the desperation in their eyes she doesn't seem the type to actually kill people. Once the game ends I guess the clones will vanish and the real people would wake up and even the people who died in the game will comeback. As for jung won I don't think she has any role she would probably be playing mafia to fool the other mafias but she definitely isn't the part of the game because as per my observation she seems too chilled out and calm, no matter what role one has everyone there is equally scared even the most chill character like kyung jun was scared but her body language seems relaxed she is just pretending to be scared so that others don't find it suspicious
