Seems like some Koreans still have alot of issues with it. Live chat on naver was banned and they still think its made changes to history. Will need to see more comments though to see overall reactions but yeah.
I am a fan of historical event based show and I hope they do justice to the actual history. You can't deny it…
The director Jo Hyun-Taek talked about the controversy in the presscon and that's what he said: “the drama is set in 1987 but everything else is all fiction. Some things we focus on all the tragic love stories of a young man & woman and other fictional stories, A few phrases were leaked out in the beginning, they were words that were hard to accept because they were combined with other things. I think I have a responsibility and reflect deeply on that , it’s my first project in 3 years and the actors also work with a sense of responsibility. I don’t think there is such a thing that people are thinking of. Please watch it this Saturday and see for yourself . Korean films/dramas are getting lots of attention around the world.
