SY was not the driving force though , just because she was in that body doesnt mean she did anything of importance. Its her body but it was BH story and him in control.

This was not a story about SY and they never showed SY fully taking control or fighting to take control to make this bad ending more believeable.

She was present but did nothing of importance , she was present but thats not who the king fell for . We saw no instance where she actually fully took control and did something important so its irrelevant that she was still there.

It wasnt her story at all it was BH and the Kings story, I think people who say two people being torn apart after coming to terms with their feelings is happy are not understanding or choose to not understand.

You have the king wondering why the queen is different and BH acting quite sad at the end, yet people think that was a happy ending?

The Queen did not do anything though that was bonghwan.

Its a sad ending people saying its a happy ending didnt understand the drama. BH takes control of the queens body which is who the king falls for . The ending is BH returns to his body and SY the original queen takes control of her body.

So the King and BH both lose each of apparently that is happy ending?

This drama is not about SY so whether she gets a happy ending or sad ending is irrelevant the leads are BH and King and they didnt get a happy ending.

I would be way less mad if they showed SY taking full control earlier on but why would I ever accept a SY focused happy ending.

I didnt say its a good ending just a better ending then the one we got because at least with that ending two people in love die together to me that is sad but also at least its a closed ending.

I think BH was like that but overtime he changed to me that was not SY gaining more control. BH gained more affection for the king as time went on which was obvious even by the ending with BH face while reading history.

It didnt need to be a BL ending for it to be good and Korea wouldnt have even seen it as that to begin with.

Just seeing this again makes me more angry the king fell for a BH only for it to be torn from him and not told the truth to me that is depressing.

People can talk about the soul swapping blah blah all the want but Judge on what you saw which was the king falling for BH in SY body it was not SY.

Even a ending where the King and BH die together to me is better then what we got, at least then two people in love die together.

We will continue to get these types of endings because people just accept what they are given.

This review explains how I feel better , this was BH story and in the end it turned into SY happy ending. If they wanted it to end with SY they should have started it earlier on and convinced us.

To people saying it had to end like this because its Korea.. what a damn cop out they could have ended it so many different ways and it could have been way better. Also Korea dont even see it as BH in SY body.

I dont think the ending had to be radical just satisfying.. even both of them dying together to me is better then this ending.

The drama was amazing for 19 episodes but that 20th episode ruined the whole drama and Ill debate and reply to anyone who thinks its 10/10.

Honestly im mad because this drama was special and amazing until that last episode that destroyed and ruined the love that was built so well over 20 episodes.

It was queerbaiting for 19 episodes, the ending made the whole journey pretty pointless. The romance was a main plotline for this drama only for the last episode to make it pointless.
