Such a thriller. As to why people do the things they do and trust who they do, sometimes blindly, it's about greed, deceit and how each can get something over another. SL trusts WG because they were besties. SL trusted her husband because they were married. Because SL is a Script Writer, she is already clued in to how low people can go when they are desperate. SL is a savvy business woman. True, she lost some business, but in such an environment where falsehoods and deceit are par for the course, getting a few scrapes along the way can be considered lucky
