that makes so much sense! I wish we had that scene! I love the pace of the show but there are def some moments that I feel prob get explained a lot more in the book!

i think I was confused because that scene wasn’t shown in the drama - it cut from her slashing his chains to them on the mountain with him tied up. At first I thought it was a plan she had worked on with the second in command!

ooh I’m lovin it so far tho as a vegetarian it’s kinda difficult to watch 😭 hoovered up the first 5 episodes. ok so my money is on the fact she’s probably some rich guy’s long lost granddaughter - super pretty kind hearted orphans with suspiciously refined mothers usually turn out to be princesses!!! (no spoilers I haven’t read the book so idk the actual story just my guess!!)

just started ep10 and finally we have a scene where she explains her reasons for not trusting the ml! I’m not totally convinced by them but ok that’s what we’re going with!

I totally feel this! I’m up to ep8 and I feel like it’s an issue with the screenwriters because all we need is one scene or one speech to understand why she trusted the eldest wei general with the information but not his brother. I’m finding it a bit frustrating and it definitely makes her less likeable as a character. Reading the comment from Madeline Maureen below it sounds like the novel makes this really clear and makes so much more sense!

really enjoying this so far! it’s very brutal & distressing tho so be warned about that! tbh I kinda feel that’s how war should be depicted tho i think they did it really well
