That back then, how heart broken it is for Bai Jue to watch Shang Gu soul disintegrating/shattering like that,…
Lol yah that is also one thing that I didn't understand either. I would have assumed that since Xuanyi knew about his (intended) fate, that would have meant the tribulation was coming up. But it never happened and instead Shanggu was born. And instead of living in unrest, in the beginning of the drama, all the immortals were "dating/living peacefully" instead of cultivating, meaning everything was calm in the realms. Then the second time, after Baijue stopped Shanggu's sacrifice at the very last moment, instead of seeing the destruction/unrest, everything was pretty much peaceful. These true gods are trying to find loopholes and defying what heaven has intended to happen lmaoo and pretty much in the end they succeeded because they delayed that tribulation for how many years now? And in the end, it wasn't even the birth one (Xuanyi/Shanggu) who sacrificed, and even the sacrificed was "reborn" with all his memories attached in the end o: I mean don't get me wrong, I'm so invested in Shanggu&Baijue's love story but lololol
the ML&FL's portrayals of their characters have got me hooked!
i might end up having to read the novel as well T_T
