they haven’t confirmed yet but it’s been a theory for awhile because they sprinkled in talk about Yugyeong having been unable to conceive. We’re pretty certain now because when Yugyeong brought up taking leave to try for a child, Giman and his mom exchanged weird glances like somehow they knew something she didn’t

I'm just hoping she doesn't make the wrong inference from that evidence. Obviously she knows that Gichan was cheating with Seri, but until we see what Jaein takes from this evidence I'm going to be a little bit worried that she'll think Dohee was with him too (even though it's unlikely, but everyone in this show is so stupid that I can't be certain until it passes).

That part is extra frustrating to me because that MIL has been harassing Yugyeong because she hasn't had a kid, and yet both she and Giman know that he's the one who actually has fertility issues 🙄

I know a lot of people here seem to hate Yugyeong the most, and of course she has issues and isn’t a great person or friend, but I find her character really interesting. Like she could end up on the good side or the bad side because she’s toeing the line right now. While she gave Jaein the pills and has done other bad things, she doesn’t seem to have fallen hopelessly to the other side (yet) like the Aunt. I guess my interest with her character is the question of will she become an even worse villain than Seri or will she redeem herself (and if so will the writers make this change satisfying)?

It's possible that they just kept her out of the media since they had the money to do that, which would explain why Do Hee's family doesn't know who she is despite scouring the internet to find her. However, you're right that it doesn't make sense in this drama because when her mom was in the hospital the press was coming at her with questions about it.

i would recommend it! it can definitely be frustrating at times (what makjang isn’t) but i would say try it out a bit and see if it’s your cup of tea. if you want to join in on the fun and catch up it will be easier now than later, might as well jump in!

my interpretation is that visually the character is based off of qiandai in that moment, but he used chai ziyu as inspiration for the character's personality

Overall I liked it, but it's one of those ones where if you think about it you realize how incomplete everything feels

Though he’s upset about Eunho’s death and how that man caused it, Hong Mansu has stuff on him. Mainly, when his older brother kidnapped Eunho, Gichan helped cover it up with money. Now that Gichan is the Chairman this information coming out would ruin him. Of course, this continued collusion is only burying him deeper (though i guess it’s already pretty bad since he and Seri murdered Dohee).
