This is what I'm thinking too they did it twice but the episode shows they did it 3way. It's really confusing if you don't interpret every detail. Meiko really wants the baby to be Makio to keep them 3 together. But her lying about the really got Makio. Mieko wants to keep him by her side from the start. She stayed with Makio even Eij and Makio started dating. When Eij confessed to Makio, Meiko went jogging in the morning makes me believe that she already has feelings for Makio at that time. However, Makio told her that they started dating.
