Haha I appreciate the positive feedback. I'll get around to writing another one some time, it takes me a bit of time to organize my thoughts and ideas. Cheers!
Just a thought, after reading yours, in my opinion it will always be the most girls watching dramas then boys for…
Neither of those had aired at that point in time yet haha. But I can see where you're coming from.
The reason why I used that example was because, needless to say, the drama is packed with eye candy. Perhaps eye candy just doesn't appeal to males as much? Or it might be just a specific case for my friend himself. The answer? Who knows really, and it's essentially the whole point of my article I tried to address.
1. Female. 2. Yeah 3. They are. I think that most of the people just have to do their best to earn money. 4. 5…
It appears my last question is a bit vague for some of you. I can see how it might be, so no worries.
I am referring to social stereotypes that exist. The example I gave in the article looks at the knight in shining armor - the man must be strong. Even though the character in Innocent Man could be considered 'the boy in distress,' he had to fight his way back up. Comparatively, 'the damsel in distress' generally has someone helping her along the way.
Now to clarify my question. Do such stereotypes affect your views in a drama? Do you start watching expecting such stereotypes to be followed? Imagine if the stereotype was broken, how would you feel about the drama?
@everyone below this post, appreciate all the responses!
1. Male 2. Unfortunately yes. 3. Depends on the country, if it's Kdrama, yes but from what I've seen in Jdrama's,…
This is an interesting response. Not calling you out on anything or trying to get your head bitten off by the mob of girls :P
I read earlier from a female response stating how actresses usually don't get good character roles whereas the actor generally shines. Perhaps this is a matter of perspective male vs female.
Appreciate the response and thanks for the honesty :)
1-Female. 2-mostly towards the actors I love but there are also some actresses that can drive my to watch a drama.…
"6-sure at the beginning but I tend to change my ratings later when I'm finally free from their spells xD "
Haha, that's one way to stop the potential skew in rating xP

Not much for me to say, all of it you probably read already on my profile page xP. Thanks for the feedback, by the way, on my article (yes, I am biased while looking at the feedback, I pay particular attention to responses with male/M in it haha)

Cheers for the request :D High5 for Kim Sun Ah on your list!
Oddly enough, I didn't find the article sexist as what the OP wrote in the disclaimer. Or maybe that was the disclaimer…
Working as intended then :P I don't want to bother any of you with your pitchforks and torches.
Just want to take this opportunity to say I appreciate all the feedback and I am reading through everything. If I get enough feedback, I might just write up a follow-up article to this article to take a look at the MDL results and see what we have going on.
Cheers!

I also wanted to point out I actually grew up in the states and lived 12 years in California. I am quite aware of the culture there xD.
